Riley

I stood there awkwardly, feeling socially impaired. Was I suppose to greet an amnesia-girl-who-happens-to-have-a-history with my husband?

I didn't want to look like a spoiled brat, so I reached out my hand and greeted her.

"Hi, I'm Riley. Nice to meet you." I put on my best smile. "Do you have a hotel reserved?" I acted concerned.

She pulled back, looking afraid and insecure. She looked lost and confused. She backed up nearer to Marcus, bumping into him. "Who are you?" She said while wrapping herself in her arms.

"Erm... I'm an acquaintance." Awkwardness and embarrassment filled the air between us.

Marcus looked at her for a while, then he lead both of us into a cab. He sat in front with the cab driver while I sat behind with Camila. We distanced ourselves like strangers, not even speaking a word to each other.

We finally stopped in front of a grand hotel with golden pillars that stretched to the sky. The floors were made of sparkly refine marble, and the workers here were all dressed in suits and tie.

Marcus went to the registration counter. "One room please." The receptionist flashed a smile and quickly typed away in her computer.

I lightly nudged Marcus. "How is one room enough?" Looking puzzled.

"Camila will be staying here. We are going to my mansion in Courtenay Avenue." He helped Camila to fill in the necessary documents.

"But is it okay to leave someone with amnesia alone in the hotel?" This time I was honestly concerned. Despite the fact that she may have a history with Marcus, but I also don't want anything bad to happen to her.

"This is the best hotel in London. Besides I don't think you'll be pleased if I invited her to stay in my mansion." He grinned at me.

My face blushed. That was true. I also wouldn't want Camila to intrude on our supposedly honeymoon.

After all the registration, we escorted Camila to her room. Marcus swiped the room card across the censor and the room door popped open itself. He helped Camila to settle in while I stood there trying to not look jealous.

"Okay Cam, you stay here don't leave the room. Don't talk to anyone else but me, your sister and Riley. Room service will provide you with everything you need." He got up and prepared to leave.

"Wait." Camila held on to Marcus's hand. "M-must you leave?" She was so helpless it looked almost pathetic. I fisted my fingers, and clammed my mouth shut trying as hard as I could to not be jealous or do anything stupid.

Marcus bend down and tucked her golden locks behind her ears. He tilted his head, giving her a smile, "You'll be fine. I'll see you tomorrow morning." She gently let go of his hand, allowing him to leave the room.

Marcus and I entered the elevator, not speaking a word. I stood behind him, looking at my own reflection at the mirror paneled to the four sides of the elevator. What I saw in the mirror was a girl with tons of imperfection. A girl that didn't deserve the only other person standing in the elevator.

But imperfections is what makes a person perfect... Right...?

I held my head low as we exited the hotel. Eyes of envy were on me every time I walked with Marcus, but they have no idea what it feels like to be with someone that is flawless and blemish-less. He makes everyone around him feel inferior.
