Riley
"Hey, wake up." Someone shook my body.
I turned to the opposite side, curling myself into a ball.
"Riley. Wake up." The voice sounded so familiar. Familiar enough to ignore.
"Ten more minutes." I replied lazily. God knows, ten more minutes ain't happening.
"The cold water is coming..."
Cold water my foot. He would never do that. I tucked both of my arms under my head, ignoring him.
The next thing I knew, I was jumping off the bed like fishes jumping back into the sea. I shivered from head to toe. As though UK wasn't cold enough, who the heck has a bucket of cold water.
I locked my eyes onto Marcus, the cold water dripping down from my hair. "No, you just didn't."
"Obviously I did. Now get up. Time to meet my friends in London." He smirked at me before helping me up from the bed.
"Marcus, I swear when we get back to New York you are sleeping on the carpet. No sofa for you mister!" I wrapped a nearby bathrobe around me, hoping to catch warmth.
He twirled his finger around my wet hair. "That ain't happening princess. I ain't gonna get kicked out from my own room." His pride could kill a lion.
He left me alone to get ready. When he went out, I heard him telling the maid to clean up after his cold water disaster.
Usually people get hangovers after drinking bottles of wine. But for him, oh no... The high and mighty Marcus never gets hangovers. But I'm dead sure it made him hundred times more heartless.
I mimicked his exact words in a high pitch voice when he left the room. I was sure as heck I wanted to kick him to Jupiter right now.
"I heard you." He shouted back from the outside.
"Shut up!" I yelled back at him, slamming the bathroom door behind me.
The bathroom was huge, but I'm warming up to the taste of the wealthy life. So it wasn't such a big deal to me anymore. I blow dried my hair, and wore a pink coat that I bought not long ago. I applied some faint pink lipstick, and went to the wardrobe to pick out some footwear.
Wow. The wardrobe was even more equipped than the one I had at New York. I guess Melanie bought all these for me before I reached London. I put on white high heel boots, and when to the dinning hall to have breakfast.
Despite the fight from yesterday. Everything seemed fine today. It was either they don't hold grudges or they are very good actors. To be honest, I was still having problems with accepting the fact that Marcus wasn't an only child. Who knew a jerk like him had a sister.
"Morning Mr and Mrs Anderson." I took my seat next to Marcus and had a more than satisfying breakfast.
"How was your sleep, Riley." Mr Anderson asked me.
I looked at Marcus from the corner of my eye. I would've replied wonderful if he hadn't poured cold water on me. "Fine."
"Dad, mom, I'm bringing Riley to meet some of my friends here in London today." Marcus notified his parents.
