SummerSlam was this Sunday and tonight I had my contract signing with Shayna Baszler for our match. My career ending match. The last match I would ever compete in. To top that off, I haven't talked to Seth since I told him to leave me alone two weeks ago. I'd kept to myself. Barely talked to anyone. Even Jordan and Roman. I was hurt. I was angry. I was, once again, broken. But I still had a job to do so I had to take the numb feeling I had and turn everything else off while I was at work which was so hard to do when I saw Seth everywhere I turned but I managed to do it. But no matter what, I still loved him. I guess I always will.
I stood at the gorilla and waited for my music to hit. Shayna and I were starting the show off with our contract signing. And we had to make it explode like never before. This was gonna be the one and only time I needed to tap into the darkest side of me and pull her out to put on the best show possible.
Jerry Lawler was in the ring at the moment and he'd just introduced Shayna. I looked up at the monitor and there was a mirror right next to it. I caught a glimpse of Seth standing at the entry way of the gorilla watching me like he had so many times before. What was his deal? He'd been watching me a lot lately. He needed to just leave me alone. It's what he wanted to begin with. Why couldn't he just do what he set out to do in the first place?
My music hit as soon as Jerry introduced me and I took a deep breath before walking through the curtain. The crowd was on their feet cheering for me as I made my way down to the ring. Shayna had a smirk on her face as she watched me from her chair. I climbed in the ring and looked around at the crowd before sitting down in the chair across from my opponent. "Alright ladies, you know the drill. Let's keep this clean and professional and sign the contract for your WWE Raw Women's Championship career ending No Disqualification match. Davina, if you will." He slid the contract over to me and I quickly scribbled my name on the dotted line before shoving it over to Shayna who gladly signed her name. She slid it over to Jerry Lawler who climbed out of the ring.
I smirked as I stood up and walked over to the ropes before I was stopped by Shayna's voice. "Davina. Davina, Davina, Davina. Wait a minute." she said. I turned around to look at her as she stood up. "You're not leaving this ring until you hear what I have to say." I smirked once more and folded my arms over my chest. "You see, you came back here thinking that you could take this from me. You came back thinking that you were somebody when really, you're nobody. Honestly you always have been a nobody. Which is really gonna suck for you because when I beat you and end your career, not a single one of these people are gonna remember you. Kind of like your husband." she said.
I shook my head and chuckled before I picked up the microphone off the table. "Do you have any other insults? Because let's be honest, I've heard that so many times it doesn't affect me anymore. In fact, all it does is add fuel to the fire that burns inside of me. And when I'm finished with you, the only thing you're gonna remember is the fact that I made you look like a fool. You see, you walk around here like you have everything and nobody can take it from you. Maybe they haven't been able to but like I said before that's what separates me from them. I don't go down easily and I sure as hell don't stay down easily. So whatever you got, you better bring it and by the time you're done you better make damn sure I have no chance of getting up because if I do, you're finished. I can promise you that." I said before I set the microphone back down. I turned to get out of the ring when I was once again stopped.
"I wonder if your daughter is gonna grow up to be just like you. A huge miserable failure." she said. "I mean, hell, we all know the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." That was it. I turned around and launched myself over the table onto Shayna taking her down. I threw rights and lefts at her over and over and over again before I climbed out of the ring and grabbed a kendo stick from under it. I looked at it and tossed it aside before grabbing something else. A baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. I smirked sadistically before sliding into the ring. Shayna got back to her feet and I went to hit her with the bat but she blocked it, yanked it away from me and hit me in the gut with it. I fell to the ground holding my stomach and she took that opportunity to grind the barbed wire against my face. I could feel the blood on my face as the wire tore into my skin. She pulled me up and locked me in her submission from a standing position and I wiggled trying to get free until I said screw it and hit her with a stunner forcing her to let go. She fell to the mat and I sat up on my knees. I looked over at Shayna and then crawled over to her seductively before I straddled her. The crowd was going nuts. I inched my face closer to her neck and then sunk my teeth into her flesh once again. She lay there yelling pain and then I let go. I grabbed her hair and pulled her up to a sitting position. One of the cameras came close to us.
"Here Shayna. Have a taste of your own blood." I said before I smashed my lips to hers. As soon as I pulled away she coughed and spit out the blood that made it in her mouth. I spit more blood in her face and then stood up laughing sadistically. The crowd didn't know whether to cheer or throw up. I climbed out of the ring and walked up the ramp before I turned around on the stage. I smirked once more and then walked backstage. Seth stood at the entry of the gorilla still with a look of pure shock. I walked right past him and headed away from him. I stopped at one of the crates in an empty hallway. I grabbed a rag and started cleaning up my face but it hurt from that barbed wire.
"Let me help." I turned my head to see Seth walking over to me.
"That's alright. I can get it." I said.
"Davina. Just let me help you." he said. He grabbed the rag from me, opened his bottle of water and wet the cloth down before dabbing the blood off my skin.
"What do you want Seth?" I asked him.
"To apologize." he said. "I was a dick. I know that now." He sighed. "I've spent the last two weeks thinking about everything and I realized that I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. You were being honest with me about something that you felt I needed to know. I shouldn't have said the things I said to you. It wasn't fair and I'm really sorry."
"You really hurt me Seth." I said. "I've never felt like this before. Not even when you lost your memory. This was a whole new heart break."
"I know." he said. "I've been watching you. And it's hurt me to see how much I hurt you. I'm so sorry Davina." He put the rag down and took my hands in his. "I know you love me. I know you wouldn't do anything to ruin what we have. Not on purpose. It's not who you are." I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "I love you so much. And I can't see my life without you. Will you forgive me?"
I pressed my lips to his gently once and then smiled a little. "Of course. I love you." I said. He pulled me into him and held me close. I gripped his shirt as if I was holding on for dear life. "Thank you." I said. "Thank you for forgiving me for what I did to us."
"Always." he said. So now I had my husband back. Maybe now things would finally look up for me and our family.

Seth and I sat in our hotel room. He'd moved his stuff back in and it felt great to have him by my side again. The past three weeks had been hell. Literal hell. And I just wanted to be happy again. "I'm really glad we're back to being us." I said as my head lay on his chest. "My match this Sunday, I'm so nervous for it. And I started this journey with you by my side and that's how I wanted to end it."
"No matter what, I would have been right there for you. I never stopped loving you through this whole thing. And I think the fact that you questioned it really opened my eyes to what I was doing and how I was acting." he said.
"I'm sorry for that." I said as I lifted my head up to look at him.
"We both said a lot of things we wish we could take back." he said.
"Well let's just promise to always be open and honest with each other and that we'll try to work things out before being drastic." I said.
"I promise." he told me before pressing his lips to mine. He looked at me and chuckled as soon as he pulled away. "You know, what you did in the ring tonight was ruthless."
I chuckled. "Well, I had to make this story line explode. What's better than me channeling my dark side?" I asked.
"It was pretty damn sexy." he said. I raised my eyebrows at him and smirked. "After everything that's one thing I never lost. The ability to see just how sexy my wife is." I pressed my lips to his and he cupped my face gently as he deepened the kiss and rolled to hover over me. My stomach was doing loops right now. I guess that's what happens when I fight with my husband. I get butterflies like it was our first time all over again. We practically tore each others' clothes off as our lips moved in sync. Our breathing became heavy as my hands tangled in his hair and his hands explored my body. I missed this. I missed being intimate with my husband. Hell, I missed my husband most of all. And now I had him back. Along with my happiness.
