I walked into the arena with Seth at my side carrying Gracie's car seat. Tonight Seth and I were starting a story line that would go through Fastlane and I was excited. It's been forever since we were able to work together in the ring. I couldn't wait. But I was also a little sad because tonight was the last night I got to spend with Gracie before she had to go back home with my parents. I was gonna miss her so much.
We got to the locker room and I immediately changed out of my street clothes and into the outfit I would be wearing to start off the show. A pair of black skinny jeans with a hole in the left knee and small rips in the right leg. A black crop top and black leather jacket. And to top it off I was wearing my black ankle boots. I left my hair wavy and then took Gracie from Seth so he could change while I went to hair and makeup with my beautiful little girl. We walked down the hallway and Gracie was pointing at different things. I chuckled as she got so excited about seeing everything backstage. It's not the first time though or the second. Ever since she was born I'd bring her on the road to spend time with her daddy while he was away and she loved doing that too so she was fairly acquainted with the backstage area.
I sat down in the makeup chair with Gracie on my lap and the lady went to work on my face. Gracie excitedly pointed in front of us and I saw Roman passing by. "Roman!" I shouted catching his attention. He looked over and smiled as he saw Gracie smiling and kicking away excitedly.
"There's a beautiful girl." he said as he walked up to us. "And you too Davina."
"Oh thanks." I chuckled. The great thing about being back on the road is the Jordan and Roman were now on Raw with us. So now, we got to see each other every day and it was great. Roman lifted Gracie from my lap and held her in his arms. "So, how's everything going with you and Jordan?" I asked.
"Good. Great, actually. I um, wanted to get your opinion on something." he said. I was intrigued. "I wanna ask Jordan to marry me but she's talked about slowing down and not rushing things. I don't know. Do you think she'll say yes."
"Uh, well she'll be crazy if she doesn't." I said. "Do you have any reason to believe she'll say no?"
"I don't think so. I brought it up to her once about a month ago and she just kind of tensed up like she didn't wanna get married." he said.
"Look, all you can do is ask. Do I doubt her love for you? Not for a second. You and JoJo are her world Roman. I think she'll say yes." I told him.
"I hope so. I really love her and I wanna spend the rest of my life with her." he said.
I smiled. "I know you do. She's really lucky to have you. And so is miss Gracie. She loves you." I said as Gracie smiled.
Roman looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, I kind of like her." he said. "You and Seth did good."
"Thanks." I said. He handed Gracie back to me and then said he had to go before walking away. Jen, the makeup lady, finished with me and I got out of the chair thanking her and then walked back to the locker room. Jordan walked up to the door just as I did. "Hey." I said.
"Hey, I was just coming to find you." she said. "Have you seen Roman?"
"Yeah. Just a little bit ago. He was heading towards catering." I said. "But, um, Seth and I have our segment coming up, do you mind taking Gracie for me?"
"Absolutely I will take the princess." she said as she grabbed Gracie from my arms. "I'm gonna go find Roman. I'll meet you back here after you guys are done in the ring." She walked away and I opened the door to the locker room.
"Hey handsome." I said as Seth looked at me. "You ready? Our segment's in ten minutes."
"Yeah." he said. "How cool is this? We get to team up again."
