SummerSlam. We were finally here at SummerSlam. My final match in WWE. Tonight was the night I was gonna retire. My parents had flown out with the kids for this. Kelly and her little family, Hannah, Taylor, Seth's mom, his brother and his family. They all flew out to watch SummerSlam tonight. Hell, even Matt came out which meant so much considering what was going on with his mom.
Seth and I spent the last 48 hours with the kids since they've been here since Friday with my parents. It was a special night tonight and I'm glad I got spend so much time with the kids and Seth alone before I was swarmed with people telling me how much they were gonna miss me after tonight. I guess I should have prepared myself but I wasn't even thinking about it.
I sat in the locker room with Seth, Jordan and Roman as we all got ready. Seth and Roman had talked and straightened everything out between them which I was happy about. I wanted things to go back to the way they were and they were slowly getting there. Seth even told Roman that he was happy that I had him to lean on when I was struggling which I'm sure was hard for him considering he knew what happened. But hopefully we'd all be able to move past that fairly soon.
I grabbed my bag and walked into the changing room before getting into my gear for tonight. I thought it only fitting to wear the exact attire I debuted in for my retirement match. Kind of like a sentimental thing. I looked in the mirror and smoothed over my attire before walking out to the locker room and slipping on my boots and kick pads. I took a deep breath and looked at my husband and best friends. "Well, here I go to hair and makeup for the final time." I said.
"Are you starting to reconsider?" Jordan asked.
I shook my head. "No. This is what I need to do. It's just kind of hitting me hard tonight." I said. "Maybe because I never thought I'd walk away so soon."
"You're gonna be okay. No matter what." Roman said.
Seth nodded in agreement. "And no matter what happens after tonight, one thing is for sure. Nobody is ever gonna forget Davina Marshall." he said.
I smiled. "Thanks guys." I said. I stood up. "Alright. I'll be back." I walked out of the locker room and headed down to hair and makeup before sitting down in one of the chairs. The ladies went right to work making me look great for the last time in my career.

I stood at the gorilla and took a deep breath with Seth, Jordan and Roman at my side. My final match was in just a few minutes and I was anxious. Not the good kind either. I was sad about leaving the place that's felt like home for the past few years. I was doubting my decision just a little. But I wasn't going back. My children needed me at home with them and Matt needed me to run his business. Although I suppose it's my business now. Mine and Jordan's.
"Davina." Jordan said. She looked like she was gonna cry.
"No." I said. "Don't you dare. I cannot go out there with tears." She nodded and wiped her eyes. I looked at Seth and smirked as my music hit. I took one more deep breath and walked through the curtain. The crowd was on their feet as I stood on the stage. I smirked before walking down towards the ring. I caught sight of my parents with Gracie and CJ in their arms. Kelly, Jackson and Alexander beside them with Hannah and Taylor. Matt next to them as well. Everyone was there. I walked around the ring and grabbed a microphone before my music cut out. "Tonight is a big night." I said. The crowd cheered. "Not only am I going to compete in what could my final match, but tonight is also a big night for my family." I walked over to stand next to the barricade in front of my parents. "You see, today is my little girl's second birthday. So what do you guys say? You wanna help me wish my daughter a Happy Birthday?" The crowd cheered again and then I sang Happy Birthday to Gracie along with the crowd. As soon as we finished, I hugged my daughter and kissed her cheek before handing the microphone to a tech and climbing in the ring. I smiled at Gracie once more before Shayna's music hit. She walked out to the ring like she was on a mission. I guess she didn't much care for what I did to her on Monday. She climbed in the ring and walked up to me getting in my face. I smirked and licked my lips. Getting in her head was my new favorite thing right now. I had successfully channeled my dark side and it was so much fun. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. Better late than never I guess. Plus, it's one hell of a way to go out. The ref held the title up and then handed it to a tech on the outside before signaling for the bell. Shayna and I circled each other before we locked up. She powered me into the corner and the ref counted to three before she let go. She smirked and threw her arms out to her sides. I nodded, impressed. "You know, I can still taste your blood. Can you?" I asked. She walked up and I kicked her in the gut making her back up. "Come on Shayna. I thought you were supposed to be all powerful." I said.
