It's the day of the wedding and preparations are in full swing! It's 2pm by the time my hair is finished and now we are on the countdown to the ceremony, it starts at 5pm and the boys are arriving at 4:30. It's all becoming reality and I can't believe it's finally here! My Mum, auntie Karen and I are all now having a spot of lunch at the hotel before we get our makeup and finishing preparations done. After we order my Mums starting to get worried so me and my Auntie Karen automatically try to take her mind off the big day yet it's so close after all of this time.
"So what's going on with you and Jack?" My auntie Karen asks,
Because I know it's the one thing that will take my Mums mind off the wedding situation I will talk about it and i feel like I need too.
"We have decided that it would be best for us just to stay as friends, I'm going to get him to chat to a few girls tonight and he's going to do the same for me" I smile, with everything that has happened between us let's face it, there was no turning back. Too much had happened just to brush it under the carpet but I now know I have a life long friend within him and that makes me happier than anything.
Before I know it I'm ready and standing at the aisle waiting for them to kiss each other and it's so adorable, I love my Mum and Garry being together! I walk out arm in arm with Jamie and we then get called away for photo reasons and my favourite one is of the four of us, my family. It's now official, we are a family. Jamie and I are then told to get taken a few individual pictures of the both of us and the ones that are off guard are the ones I want to see the most. We then proceed to see our family and friends that we haven't seen in a while before I'm sat at the table with my uncle Andy and some random people who I don't know as my Mum and Garry are the only two people at the top table which is cute.
"I'm Chris" I hear as I finish off the last of my desert,
"I'm Rachael" I smile,
I turn around and see a really handsome guy beside me.
"How do you know the wedding party then?" He asks, his accent is so prominent it's unreal,
"I'm the brides daughter" I state, "yourself?"
"I used to work with Garry" he smiles,
"Are you close with him?" I quiz,
"We aren't best of pals but we're mates aye" he replies,
"Rachael Goan get us a pint doll" uncle Andy asks,
I nod before heading to the bar and getting my uncle Andy, John and my new friend Chris a pint before returning back to the table with a long vodka for myself.
I sit for the next half an hour speaking to Chris about everything we can think of. I find out he's 31 although he doesn't look it, single, a mechanic and lives around ten minutes away from my Mum and Garry. The first dance then happens before Jamie and I are made dance together for the second dance before Jamie goes with his mrs and I return back to the table. The more alcohol that is being consumed the more flirtatious Christopher and I seem to be getting.
"I would like to invite my step daughter Rachael onto the stage please" he states,
I get up and do as I'm asked before taking the mic and telling my Mum something that she's wanted to hear for what seems to be forever.
"I've found a flat and I'm moving to Northern Ireland!!" I shout,
My Mum stares at Garry and I for a moment before starting to cry before Jamie bear hugs me and I feel at home. Although Northern Ireland isn't where I imagined ever spending the rest of my life it's where my family are, yeah I'll miss my friends, yeah I'll miss most things about my life in Scotland but being able to see the people I care about every day then it's enough for me. I know it was hard for my Mum when I wasn't there and refused to come over and I know how much strain it put on her and Garry's relationship sometimes and I'm not having that now. She's married to a man who loves her to pieces and that's not something that comes around a lot. I realise that I've not seen Jack today and it's made me sad so I go on a quest to find him and I should've guessed that I would meet him at the front door of the hotel having a cigarette.
"I thought I would find you here" I smile,
"You know me too well" he chuckles, "staying for good?" He asks before pecking me lightly on my lips, " looks like it! Have you had a good day?" I ask,
"Aye, I've missed having you by my side though" he smirks,
I move closer to him and hold his suit jacket to bring him to me, "you know, I've been given a room here tonight, with a double bed and I want you to be in it" I state,
"Do you now?" He asks,
"I definitely do" I reply before we start to kiss before being interrupted by Chris leaving and we head back in to the hall, I decide to take it upon myself to introduce Jack to the rest of my family as the last time they met him he was addicted to drugs and wanted to attack anyone that even thought of coming near me which in it's own way is cute. We then start to dance since all other couples are up dancing,
"Have you had a good day?" He asks,
"Yeah, it's good seeing my Mum marry someone who loves her so much and I know will treat her well" I smile,
"I'll make you that happy one day" he states and I know he's being serious. He's trying to make up for what he done but he doesn't need to, I've forgiven him yet it's a plus that he wants to make me happy,
"What do you mean?" I question,
"When we get married, you'll be even happier" he beams,
"Promise?" I ask,
"I promise" he smiles before kissing my forehead lightly.
The remainder of the night was good, my Mum threw the bouquet and it hut my uncle Andys head which was a highlight. At the end of the night Jack carried me upstairs and into our room.
"Can you help me with this?" I ask,
He nods before doing as I asked and unzipping my dress in the slowest possible manner and it's rather hot. As it falls to a pool on the floor I turn to face him when he meets me with a passionate kiss before one thing leads to another and he's definitely my best. So much lust and longing, it wasn't just sex, there was feelings and meaning involved which made it so much more sexy than anything I've ever experienced before.
