"Yeah, he had an entire cannon!" I laughed, taking my gloves off.

I had just gotten home and was laughing with Angel and Husk about what happened. I bit into my sandwich before continuing.

"All that for 25 square feet of turf and 12 boxes of popsicles!"

I bit again and heard a sickening squish. My teeth had connected through my tongue and the pain brought tears to my eyes.

"Oh, kid!" shouted Angel.

"Oh, fuck!" Husk yelled, turning around.

"Ow..." I said, trying not to cry.

My mouth overflowed with blood and it started running down my chin and onto the table.

"Open your mouth," Angel said. "Let me see."

"Tell me how bad it is," I said, opening my mouth. More blood spilled out of my mouth and onto the floor.

His eyes widened and he inhaled sharply.

"Jesus fuck! It's pretty bad..."

I closed my mouth slowly. I was starting to feel lightheaded.

"Uh," said Husk. "Is she supposed to be that pale?"

Angel started panicking. He was mumbling to himself, wondering what to do.

"I'll take care of Raven," Husk said. "Go get some help."

He turned to me and laughed nervously.

"I-I heard that holding someone's hand helps calm people down. Do you want to hold... mine?" he asked, blushing.

I lifted my head.

'Is he... blushing? But why?'

I decided not to question it, taking his hand into mine.

The door opened and Vaggie ran toward me.

"What happened!?" She asked, looking at me.

"We need someone to clean this mess up," Husk said.

He gestured to the dark grey pools of blood on the table and the floor with his free hand.

"I'm on it!" Niffty exclaimed.

I rested my head on my arm and sighed. I felt my hair move.

"What are you doing?" I asked Husk, although I already knew.

Husk sighed.

"I dunno."

He started playing with my hair again. I made it longer, which surprised him.

"Huh, that's cool," he said, running his claws through it.

"Are you alright, Raven?" Charlie asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm sorry," I said. "I got blood all over this shirt."

She smiled.

"It's fine."

"Alright! I've been told me to numb her tongue with something cold," Angel said, walking through the door with Alastor.

"Here you go, darling!" Alastor said, handing me a popsicle.

I smiled and put the popsicle in my mouth.

"Thanks, you guys. For everything."
