"Aside from all that chaos, my three best friends grew up to be world-famous comedians and then turned out to be serial killers, which is very cool," I said.
"Murder... doesn't bother you?" Alastor asked.
"Well, no. They used to joke about murder all the time, and even I shot my parents."
Alastor nodded.
Charlie and Vaggie stood up and walked away. Niffty ran off, mumbling something about a mess.
"Ah... I see," Alastor said.
It was quiet for a moment before Alastor spoke again.
"Allow me to ask you a question."
"Okay, sure."
"Are you able to shape shift different clothes onto your body?"
"I don't know. Let me try."
I tried.
Alastor smiled a bit wider.
"I like that outfit. It suits you," he said.
"So tell us more about your friends. What were they like?" Angel asked.
"Well, the last time I talked to them was 16 years ago, so I don't remember their names," I said.
"Wow."
"I remember what they looked like because I used to go to all of their shows. They went by aliases that I'm too lazy to remember. The short girl always tried to act tough, but she was too cute for it to work."
"Mhmm."
"The girl who always wore headbands was loud and kind of annoying. She always seemed to be a positive person until it came to her opinion of herself."
"Huh."
"And the tall boy. Oh my goodness he was awesome. And extremely charming, too,"
My face started heating up. I felt like I could talk about him for hours. Every compliment I gave him made Husk stiffen up more.
"He had gorgeous eyes and extremely silky hair. And he was weird and funny, too. He was attractive and funny and weird and I loved him for it."
Angel glanced at Husk and gave him a look of... sympathy? I shook it off and kept talking.
"And he sometimes spoke in a low voice that made chills run up my spine," I said. "I remember multiple times where he made Headband Girl squeal just by saying her name. My goodness, he was amazing!"
Husk stood up and left. I sighed.
"Fuck! Did I do it again...?" I said to myself, chasing after Husk.
"Husk!" I called. He stopped in the middle of the stairs and turned around.
"Why were you so upset today?" I asked.
"I... I... no reason," he said, continuing back up the stairs.
I waited for him to get to his room before continuing up the stairs. I went into my own room and leaned against the wall to see if he would say anything.
All I heard was muffled sobbing.
Yep. I did it again. I broke someone's heart.
