"You want who to bite you?" I asked.

Husk and Angel turned around. I waved and walked out from behind the wall, laughing at their shocked reactions.

"Haha! So, what are you guys talking about?"

Angel smirked at Husk, who was covering his face with his hands.

"Shut up," said Husk.

"I didn't say anything," said Angel, his smirk growing into a wide smile.

"I can hear your thoughts! Shut up!"

I looked at Husk, then at Angel.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"N-nothing! Don't worry about it!" Husk said, looking away.

"Okay..." I said slowly.

I squinted, trying to find the lies in that statement. Of course, one was obvious. I turned around and left, walking back to my room.

"Oh, there's definitely something going on," I mumbled.

Then, I had an thought. An impossible connection.

"Maybe, he does like me... No, that's stupid. Crushes are stupid. He doesn't have a crush on me."

I shook my head and opened the door to my room.

"Oh, hello, dear," my mom said. She was sitting on my bed, smiling.

"Uh... hi," I said, looking at her. "What are you doing in my room?"

"Oh, I thought we could catch up on all that lost time. I haven't seen you for weeks!"

I opened my mouth to say something, but decided against it.

"Oh, look at those teeth! You've really got to show me all those interesting things you can do sometime."

"Heheh, yeah..."

"So! You found anyone special yet?"

I stared at her.

"What? I'm your mom, I'm supposed to ask you all these embarrassing questions!"

"Whatever you say..."

I tried to answer the best I could, but I was inundated by all of her questions. When she finally left, I had time to think.

"Was it me? He wanted me to bite him? That-" I mumbled.

Then I thought for a moment.

"Ya know, that actually wouldn't be that bad. Imagine if the tables were turned. All those sharp-"

I stopped myself. Why was I having all these weird thoughts today?

I heard a voice coming from my left. I leaned up against the wall, listening to what was being said.

"Fuck, what do I do? I... I have it bad for her, don't I? What do I do?"

I blinked.

'Who's he talking about?'

I heard Husk sigh, and leaned against the wall again.

"I can't tell anyone. Especially not Angel. He'd never let me live it down."

I nodded.

"That's Angel for you," I said quietly.

"Uh... maybe we can be friends. Yeah, that could work. She's always open to new friends. But then how do I...?"

I stopped listening.

'Who's he talking about?' I wondered.

I walked out of my room and down the stairs.

"Hey, Angel! I have an important question for you!"
