"Ha! They're so blind," I said, sneaking back up the stairs with a bottle in my hand.
I sat on my bed and looked at the label.
'Cheap Booze' I read, crossing my legs. 'Well at least they're honest'
I opened the bottle and started drinking.
"Ugh," I said, scrunching up my nose.
It tasted terrible but I kept drinking, and didn't seem long until the whole bottle was gone.
"Maybe I should get some more. It wasn't so bad."
I stood up. My feet seemed to have a mind of their own as I stumbled out the door.
'Oh,' I thought. 'Stairs again?'
I made my way towards the stairs to the lobby and tripped on the last step.
"Yeek!" I squealed as I hit the floor.
I slowly got up and stumbled to Husk.
"Heyyy... Husk!"
He looked at me. It took him a second to realize what I had in my hand.
"Did you get into the..." his voice trailed off as he turned around and looked at the shelves behind him.
"Looking fooor... this?" I asked, holding the bottle up so he could see it.
"You drank... all of it?"
"Mhmm. Hurts. Throat burns... my.... What?"
"Yeah, it probably does burn."
I looked at him. He had another bottle in his hand.
"Yoink!" I said, grabbing it from him and stumbling away.
"Hey!" He whipped around.
I tipped the bottle up and started drinking again. I cringed. It burned my throat, but I had to keep drinking.
'I'm no coward! Come on!'
I stopped about halfway through and slumped against the wall. Alcohol spilled out of the bottle and onto the floor.
"Did I ever tell you- Husk, did I ever tell you how great you are?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
"No," he said. "You didn't."
"Aww," I said.
I dipped my finger into the puddle and started drawing a messy picture on the floor.
He cocked his head and squinted.
"What's that?"
"It's you. I call it Alco-... AlcoHalla."
He sighed again and walked away.
"You're beautiful, Husk!" I called out to him, my eyes dropping. "My waifu!"
I heard him groan and smiled as I went to sleep.
