SAPPHIRE POV

I woke up to the sound of Logan's voice calling my name. I opened my eyes and blinked at him, still groggy. He was standing in front of me with a tray in his hands, his expression unreadable. I sat up slowly, folding my arms across my chest.

"What do you want, Logan?" I asked, my voice flat. He placed the tray down on the nightstand.

"Eat," he commanded, his tone clipped. I shook my head, refusing to meet his gaze.

He reached out to touch me, but I recoiled. "Sapphire, eat something," he insisted, his voice growing more urgent.

"No, I'm not hungry," I whispered, my voice trembling slightly. His hand slammed down on the dresser, and I jumped, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Sapphire, stop playing stubborn. You need to eat something!" he shouted, his frustration boiling over. I just sat there, my fingers nervously playing with the edge of the blanket. He cursed under his breath before storming out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

I looked down at the breakfast he'd brought, recognizing my favorite dish. But I couldn't bring myself to touch it, no matter how much my stomach growled.

A few minutes later, the door opened again, and Sara—Mom—walked in. She gave me a small, comforting smile.

"I'm not eating it," I said quietly, but she just sighed and sat beside me on the bed.

"Sapphire, you have to eat. Think about your baby. You can't let the baby starve; you're feeding for two," she whispered, her voice gentle but firm. I nodded, knowing she was right. "Plus, I made it. It's your favorite," she added, trying to coax a smile out of me. I managed a small one and hugged her tightly.

"I'm feeding for three," I said softly, and she pulled back, her expression confused.

"What?" she asked, her eyes searching mine. Then, as realization dawned, her eyes widened, and she gasped. "You're having twins?" she asked, her voice full of awe. I nodded, a small smile tugging at my lips.

"I was just as surprised as you," I whispered, placing my hand on my small but growing baby bump.

"How many months?" she asked, and I told her I was four months along today. I picked up my fork and started eating my breakfast, feeling a bit more at ease.

"I was thinking of going over to Serena's house today. I wonder if Logan would let me go?" I mused aloud, and she shrugged.

"Well, finish your breakfast, then find out what he says," she suggested before leaving the room.

Once I finished eating, I headed to the bathroom, eagerly shedding my clothes and stepping into the tub. The warm water was a comfort, but my mind kept drifting back to the twins. I couldn't believe it—I was going to be a mother to two little ones. How was I going to manage?

As I lathered the soap, I whispered to my babies, "Well, little ones, I'm sorry I have to keep you a secret from your daddy." I rubbed my bump, feeling both joy and fear mix within me.

After finishing my bath, I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out of the bathroom.

"Hey, bestie!" Adonis' voice suddenly called out, making me jump. I turned around to see him grinning at me.

"Adonis, you scared me!" I laughed, lightly hitting his chest. He pouted playfully before settling down on the love sac. "Okay, go put on something real quick," he said, gesturing for me to get dressed. I nodded and walked into the closet, quickly pulling on a black tee shirt and jeans. When I returned, Adonis was scrolling through his phone.
