LOGAN POV
The days after bringing the twins home were chaotic but beautiful. Sapphire and I were adjusting to our new lives as parents, learning as we went. The twins, Amirah and Amia, brought so much joy to the house. Their cries and coos filled the space, and for once, it didn't feel empty or cold—it felt like home.
Sapphire was incredible. She barely slept, always tending to the babies. I tried to help as much as I could, but it was clear she had a natural instinct for this. Watching her with them made me fall for her even more.
A knock sounded on my office door and I averted my eyes from my eyes from my laptop. "Come," I softly said and watched my door slowly creaked opened.
"Logan," Sara called as she walked in with a welcoming smile.
"How can I help? Is there anything that you need?" I asked and she shook her head.
"It's getting late and I thought I'd come check on you, you should get some rest" She said and I sighed.
"I know, I just need to finish this up" I told her and she gave me a knowing smile.
"Logan, you know I only want the best for you. You've been up with the twins all day and night and in between you have work. Remember I'm here whenever you need me so don't pressure yourself too much" Sara advised me and she was right but I still had some things to get done. I can't just forget that I'm the mafia I still have responsibilities and we still have to who hurt Sapphire.
"Okay" I said then stood up. I closed my laptop then walked over to Sara.
"Thank you Sara, I'll get some rest" I said then hugged her a bit. I left the office then went to the twins nursery where the girls slept quietly in their crib. I leaned forward then pecked both girls forehead. They started fidgeting a little and I smiled.
After checking on the girls I went our room where Sapphire slept peacefully. I slowly got in bed trying not to wake Sapphire. "Logan" Sapphire called.
"Shhhh" I whispered then pulled her closer. She snuggled into me and we fell asleep.

The soft cries pierced the quiet night, pulling me from sleep. I blinked a few times, disoriented at first, then realized the twins were awake. Beside me, Sapphire was still asleep, her breathing steady and peaceful. She'd been doing so much—too much—and I didn't want to wake her.
Carefully, I slipped out of bed, glancing over to make sure I hadn't disturbed her. She didn't stir, and I felt a small wave of relief. Quietly, I padded out of the room and down the hall to the nursery.
The cries grew louder as I stepped inside, and I flicked on the dim nightlight that bathed the room in a soft glow. Both girls were wriggling in their crib, their little faces scrunched up as they wailed.
"What's wrong, my loves?" I cooed, moving closer. I yawned, running a hand down my face to wipe away the exhaustion. These late-night wake-ups were becoming routine, but I didn't mind—not when it meant I got to hold them.
Amirah was the first one I picked up. She immediately clung to me, her tiny hands gripping my shirt as she quieted to soft hiccups. "You're hungry, aren't you?" I whispered, kissing her forehead.
I placed her gently in the rocker and turned my attention to Amia, who was still crying. "Alright, sweetheart, it's your turn," I murmured as I scooped her up. She stopped crying the moment she was in my arms, looking up at me with those piercing blue eyes.
"You just wanted some attention, didn't you?" I chuckled softly, bouncing her gently.
Both girls had calmed by now, but I knew they wouldn't stay that way for long without a bottle. I grabbed the prepped bottles from the mini fridge in the corner and settled into the chair with a baby in each arm. As I fed them, I couldn't help but marvel at how tiny and perfect they were.
