Gold Lights

Chapter 3

Jasper and Sorina had been gone for almost five hours.

Vinny was sitting next to Corey on the couch as Oliver and Panuleon were kneeling on the floor, trying to build this new toy that one of the family members sent to them.

They had worked on it for quite some time but as Panuleon was trying to fix the top part of the toy, Oliver's clumsiness kicked in.

As he turned to get the instructions, he knocked it off the table with his elbow.

Panuleon's hand hovered in the air as they all watch the toy fall and break into pieces.

Vinny tried so hard to keep in his laughter.

Corey covered his mouth with his hands, clearly in the same boat.

"Don't laugh Corey, don't do it," Vinny said, making it harder for him.

Corey gave up, he found that too funny. He laughed at Oliver dropping his head onto the table.

Yes, it had taken them almost two hours to get to this stage but Panuleon didn't care.

He patted Oliver's back and smiled.

"It's okay, we'll build it another time."

Oliver lifted his head and laughed at his own stupidity.

"I'll stay way clear of it next time."

Just then, the door to the dining room opened and in walked Jasper and Sorina.

They held two excited children.

Oliver got up and quickly walked over to his squirming baby.

"Rayvon!" He grinned and took the smiling baby from Sorina. "Hello."

Little Rayvon flailed his happy arms and made a lot of noise as Oliver kissed him all over his face, making him giggle.

Vinny came over and tickled him, creating more giggles.

Luka was smiling and flapping his wings as he cuddled Corey.

"Did you have a nice time Luka?" Panuleon chuckled as the baby reached for him too and grinned excitedly.

"They had a great time" Jasper chuckled. "Your kids are so well behaved."

Oliver and Vinny looked at each other with a funny frown.

"Really?" They asked in sync.

"Yes," Sorina chuckled. "Although Rayvon is a very cheeky child."

"Well he didn't get it from me," Oliver said innocently.

"Yes he did" Vinny smiled.

Oliver gave him a glance, making their parents chuckle.

"Anyway," He said, changing the subject. "When was the last time he had food?"

"Half an hour ago," Jasper said before Duke took the babies bags off them. "But, we really must dash. We stayed out longer than we anticipated and have some guests for tea tonight."

Madison went over to say goodbye to her mother and father as the boys fussed over their children.

"I think it's bath time," Vinny said as Rayvon was playing with the string on Oliver's hoody.

"Yes," Oliver agreed as he watched his little one chew on it.

"No Rayvon, don't splash Luka," Vinny said as he held onto his little hands. "No."

Luka was such an innocent little baby as Rayvon was more of a trouble maker.
