"How're you doing this morning Vinny? Are you feeling okay?" Duke asked his son as he put a hand on his forehead but Vinny edged away with his usual glare.

"I'm fine" He mumbled and sat back against the bed. "I'm not twelve."

Madison and Duke glanced at each other.

"Yep, he's better."

Oliver then stirred.

It was half nine in the morning and last night he spent a long time watching Vinny and watching that cat. He wasn't going to ask his soulmate about it but he was going to ask Luka. He seems to be in touch with his spiritual mind and maybe he can help.

Oliver then tiredly rolled over until he was right on top of his vampire.

Vinny only woke up about half an hour ago, he really needed the rest.

Everyone watched as Oliver buried the side of his face into Vinny's chest and clutched onto his t-shirt.

The vampire patted the top of his head, lifting him from his sleep.

"Get off" Oliver mumbled and gripped him tighter.

Duke and Madison chuckled making his eyes flicker open.

"Hello mum, hello dad" He yawned and gave them a smile.

"Hello Oliver" Madison beamed. She secretly loved it when he called them that. He was only kidding but she thinks of Oliver as a second son.

"Vinny you're so warm," He said before propping himself up on his chest.

"Maybe a little too warm" Duke added. He thinks that Vinny is now getting ill due to the change of blood within his body.

For a vampire, it doesn't matter what blood type you are, as long as it's vampire blood then it's okay to transfuse.

It just might take a little while for the body to accept it.

"I told you, I'm fine."

"We'll keep an eye on you," He said before taking his wife's hand. They have finally gotten over losing their son and then him coming back to life. They've heard from John how he managed to do it.

But they also have concerns about the elder angel and if she bargained with Vinny without him even knowing it.

"I'm not a child" Vinny muttered as Oliver studied his chocolate brown eyes.

"Well we're going to treat you like one until you're better" He smiled.

Vinny rolled his eyes and pulled Oliver into him.

His expression seemed to change as the memory of yesterday flashed through his mind.

He was hit with guilt.

Putting everyone through that was one of the most selfish things he has done, apart from leaving Oliver for two years.

Recently, he has made ridiculous choices and he'll make sure he doesn't do that again, for his families sake.

"I am Sorry, though," He said quietly. "I can't stop thinking about what I put you through."

Oliver then sat up and took his hands.

"Stop, today is another day. You've apologised so much and we all know how sorry you are. So let's just forget about it and move on."

"Agreed," Duke said and gave his son a warm smile, one in which he needed to see.

Vinny watched as his soulmate's green eyes twinkled in the morning light.

"Okay," He said and squeezed his hand. But this wasn't going to stop him from feeling any less guilty.
