Gold Lights

Chapter 73

"Ray" Luka whispered with a shaky breath. It was six in the morning and the half vampire was already awake. "I need the toilet."

poor Luka still had his injuries and they didn't get better through the night. He didn't sleep at all, he couldn't.

"Okay, I'll take you" Rayvon smiled and stood up. He slept for maybe two hours, he couldn't be sure. "But it'll hurt. Don't worry about waking everyone up. If you need to cry, then cry."

He would have to carry him and that meant moving his broken limbs.

Luka nodded and tried to prepare himself as his soulmate slowly slid his arms underneath him.

He kissed his head, knowing this would hurt his heart and picked him up.

Luka immediately cried out as his broken legs moved. His arm was okay but his ribs throbbed and made it impossible to breathe.

"I'm sorry" Rayvon whispered and quickly headed to the bathroom.

Every Vampire was already awake. The only person who was still sleeping was Oliver.

Corey was still unconscious.

As Luka cried but tried to muffle it, Oliver woke up.

Rayvon entered the bathroom and shut the door. He wanted to be as fast as he could. Seeing his soulmate in this way was unbearable for him.

Oliver was sleepy but looked around the unfamiliar room. He quickly remembered where he was before rolling over and cuddling into Vinny.

The beds were only single but they could just about share it.

"Did Luka not heal?" He mumbled into his chest.

Vinny rubbed his back, he had been awake all night.

"No."

Oliver blinked back the sleep in his eyes before propping himself up and onto his forearms.

He studied Vinny's face. He could tell that what he discussed with Scarlet last night has been stuck in his thoughts.

"You didn't sleep did you?"

Vinny shook his head but he was okay. He has definitely been better but nobody needed to worry about him now.

"I'm glad you did," He said and ran a gentle hand through his hair.

Oliver smiled and shuffled his face closer.

"You look tired."

"You should get more sleep."

they watched one another and even though Oliver was grumpy and tired because it was so early, he wasn't going back to sleep.

"No, I'm awake now" He yawned. "But I need all the coffee in the world."

Vinny watched his poor effort of getting out of bed.

He practically slid onto the floor but got to his feet.

"Good morning everybody" He smiled while rubbing his eyes. He avoided Scarlet's gaze. It felt weird that she was still here. "Come on, I wanna talk to you."

Vinny let his soulmate take his hand and pull him off the bed.

"Am I getting my Oliver therapy now?" He asked while they walked through the bedroom.

"Yes, whether you want it or not."

Vinny would've smiled but they heard a cry from Luka and that sent horrible shivers through everyone.
