Chapter 62

Rayvon knelt by Vinny when Panuleon stopped pressing on his chest. He was breathing heavy and feeling completely helpless.

Oliver was basically lying on his soulmate, trying to force his life into him but nothing was happening.

"Please, Just open your eyes!" He cried. His face was wet with tears and he was refusing to believe that his soulmate was no longer alive.

"Dad?" Rayvon's voice cracked as his lifeless father laid on the floor. He took hold of his hand but it was cold. "No!" He breathed.

He put a hand over his mouth as the tears dripped from his eyes. The sound of his dad crying was really hurting his heart.

Luka felt wobbly so he had to hold onto Corey. Rayvon's sorrow was too much for him to handle.

"I'm so sorry" Panuleon whispered. "I can't save him."

Madison then buckled into Duke.

"My son" She whispered and clutched her husband. "My son!" She started to cry as Duke lowered her to the floor with shaky hands.

They tried to transfer his blood into Vinny but his heart didn't re-start and he didn't start breathing again.

Oliver was crying so hard, he felt so empty.

"My heart" He sobbed. He just wanted to die already, then they would be reunited again.

Rayvon ran a hand through his dad's hair and tried muffling his cries into his hand. This can't be happening.

Panuleon couldn't pull himself together. He couldn't save his friend.

John was trying so hard to stay somewhat calm but this felt like the saddest day of his life.

"Dad Please" Rayvon sobbed and clutched his waistcoat. "Please just wake up."

Oliver's face was buried into his chest and he was sucking in the air and really struggling to stay alive.

"Rayvon I love you, d-don't you ever forget it" Oliver breathed and reached blindly for his hand.

"Don't you dare say goodbye to me" Rayvon cried and squeezed his hand. "Don't you dare."

This really felt like the end.

Vinny was dead and there was nothing anyone could do. Panuleon would never forgive himself and Rayvon would be left with no parents. The family would never recover from this day.

But this wasn't the end.

As Oliver prayed to be taken with Vinny, the life was slowly returning to the vampire.

Duke had started to cry as well as everyone else.

John was losing his mind, as he crouched behind Oliver and clutched onto him. His son was about to die of a broken heart and nothing was sinking in.

He couldn't lose him this way, he couldn't outlive his own child.

Suddenly, Vinny gasped for air and grabbed hold of his painful chest.

Oliver and Rayvon fell back and quickly wiped their eyes so they could see.

Vinny coughed and wheezed as he turned on his side and breathed hungrily for air but it was so hard. His chest felt so stiff.

"What" Panuleon whispered. "H-How?"

Rayvon and Oliver's eyes went wide. The vampire was breathing!

"Oh-Oh my- Oh my god" Oliver breathed before leaning over Vinny who was in a lot of pain. "You're alive!"

He then began to cry again. His sobs were still full of sorrow because of what he just went through.
