Christian sat in Miranda's private room as she slept. Every few minutes he would look up at her and watched as she continued to sleep and then look down at his lap top. Two things were running through his mind and neither of them were good. The first was a question that he had started to ask himself all the way back when he was first in Ash. It had come up again just yesterday while Evan and he spoke on the phone. Evan had a similar thought but his was based on conjecture and a keen sense of suspicion that never left the former navy seal. His brother had trust issues to be sure and his former career only fed into that. Now, with his soon to be fiancé being threatened in their family home, his hackles we're up and he was sniffing out every possible lead. He didn't blame him, not one bit. His next thought was of Miranda. He had realized in the very short time he had known her that he was mesmerized by her and that she was one step away from leaving his everyday life now that Alina was gone. He couldn't let her go. Having her at the house, enjoying her company and getting to know her made him realize what a shallow personal life he had been living. In fact it wasn't living at all. It was more of a "staging" of a life. It all looked good in articles and the occasional magazine spread for the "who's who" of his social circle. In reality he was just jumping from one frivolous relationship into another. The only real relationship he had ever had was with a college friend who had told him in no uncertain terms that he was too smart to be dallying with social climbers and too good looking for his own good. They had a summer romance that ended when she found out he hadn't invited her to his families summer home for a weekend party because he was afraid she would be uncomfortable with his families social circles. She had told him... that was simply code for "you don't think I'm your equal in social ranking and I won't fit in with your group" she walked away from him that day and never returned any of his calls. Now and again he would think of her and grudgingly admit that she was right. He hadn't wanted to view himself as an elitist or as a social prig but back then he had been and to think of it now made him uncomfortable. Six months ago he read an article in the Washington Post written by a journalist who had been following the after effects of the Rwandan Genocide. It had been well written, eliciting from the reader empathy and informing the reader of the hazards of racism and religious persecution; and shared the healing effects of forgiveness within the community of victims and their perpetrators. The article displayed the talents of the the writer in both style and journalistic professionalism at its highest quality. He scanned down to see who the journalist was. If it hadn't had her picture with her husband and young son featured with a small two sentence bio on her he wouldn't have ever known it was her, as her last name was different. He wasn't surprised that the intelligent and captivating article was written by her as much as he was surprised to see that she had built her life around the very ideals and hopes and dreams that she had strived for in college. He was impressed and a little saddened at the knowledge that she had been in his life and he had allowed her to walk away because he lacked the maturity and self awareness to view himself honestly. Looking across now at the sleeping beauty who had captivated all his waking thoughts and nightly dreams, he knew he would not make the same mistake again.
Alina shifted slightly in the warm cocoon she was nestled in. She felt the warmth penetrating throughout her body and realized that she wasn't alone. Her left arm lay atop a smooth and muscled arm as her head rested on another. She didn't need to open her eyes to know that it was Evan in whom she found her self wrapped tightly by. Her eyes opened wide at first as images flashed through her mind of the passionate lovemaking they had shared and she felt herself grow hot just thinking about it. She had no idea what time it was but for the window that showed they still flew in darkness. She had no idea what she would say to him when they were in the light of day. She felt afraid of what the morning would bring. She couldn't face the disappointment of his rejection if after all, this was merely sex. She felt his breath in her neck and it sent tingles down her spine. He moved his legs and she immediately felt as it moved her as well because it was in between her own. She glanced down and her body flushed with more heat as she confirmed that she was completely nude. Worse yet she could feel him behind her and recalled what had happened between them. They were angry with one another and yet they came together as if though desperate for each other's touch. She felt out of control and suddenly trapped. She didn't want to wake him and so she lay there thinking of how to remove herself from the gorgeous Adonis that was wrapped around her like a second skin.
Evan felt Alina's subtle movement and opened his eyes. He had the advantage of his position to look upon her profile in the dim light of the room. It didn't take his eyesight though to feel the contours of her body. She was laying right next to him in his arms. Her bottom was pressed up to his groin and that area was what had been pressing him to wake up for the past few minutes. He wanted to give her more sleep for he intended to make love to her until she was forced to accept him and stop running away from her feelings. Now that she was awake he wasn't sure how she would react. He decided to pretend he was still sleeping and make his moves in-perceptively as if though he were dreaming. He was hoping on catching her off guard and unable to resist his touch if she thought he was merely dreaming.
Alina tried to move a little more and was shocked when his arm closed tightly around her narrow waist. She lay completely still as she felt the unmistakeable feeling of his erection pressing against her bottom. He moved again and his head shifted into the hollow between her neck and jaw while the arm her head was resting on shifted and slipped again lower to her rib cage and then right below her breast. She couldn't breath, she felt her blood rushing to her head and every nerve ending aflame. She didn't know what to do. She needed to think and laying here next to him wasn't the kind of thinking she needed to do. She lifted her arm that was resting on his to move it under his to lift it off her so she could slip out. As she did he just slid his over hers and she found herself effectively trapped. Worse yet his hand came to rest right on her breast. She gasped at the contact of his finger resting atop her nipple and cringed as she felt her traitorous body respond to the imperceptible touch. Her nipple hardened just then and simultaneously his erection jutted at her bottom with firm insistence. She was melting with a need she found impossible to deal with.
Evan heard Alina's intake of breath as his hand came to rest on her breast. He felt her nipples harden below his fingertips and he smiled just knowing it. As he thought, she was trying to escape his embrace. His sweet butterfly wasn't going to get the chance. He had her trapped in his net and there was no way she was getting free without him tasting her again. Evan moved his hand over her breast as the other hand rose below her other breast. He made sure his movements were slow and languid. It would kill him though but he would make her burn up slowly. He was a determined man and she was worth every moment of self torture. Slowly he pressed his fingers into the soft but firm mounds of her breast from above as his hand that wrapped from beneath her softly rubbed the underside curve of the other breast. His leg pushed in between hers again providing him better leverage as well as the clear undeniable evidence of her arousal. He smiled again simply luxuriating in the knowledge that she wanted him. At the very least her body wanted him as much as he did her. He increased the pressure of his hand as he palmed her breast and heard her moan as his fingers of his other hand found their prize. Her nipple was proudly peaking as he teased the sensitive tip to a hard point.
Alina's heart beat savagely in her chest. In his sleep he was caressing her breast and pushing against her bottom as if he were making love to her in his dreams. She found it both erotic and overwhelming. Her chest was heaving as he began to squeeze her nipples into hard sensitive peaks. She began to moan and she suddenly felt his leg push between hers even more causing her to almost ride his leg but it made her realize that she needed the pressure of his leg as her hips began to move of there own. She needed the friction right there between her legs and his leg was satisfying that need right now. Just then his mouth clasped the juncture of her neck and shoulder and she whimpered at the feel of his tongue and teeth sucking her. She was lost. She could no more stop him now than she could stop her heart from beating out of her chest. When she felt his hand leave her breast she sighed at the loss of it and then moaned loudly as he cupped her wet heat between her legs.
Evan felt her breath hitch and heard her moan as he touched her. She was so smooth there and wet and he was thrilled at how her body was responding to him. He worked her slowly moving back and forth and applying just the right amount of pressure and then back again. She began to buck against him and his own body was on fire for her. He needed to satisfy his hard shaft before he ruined the moment. Pulling her tightly to himself now without fear of her balking, he took control and grabbed her wrist while his other hand at her mound reached down and grabbed her other wrist and pulled her hands above her head to keep them there with his one hand. She gasped at the stretch she felt and the exposed nature of her body but Evan had given up all pretense of continuing the ruse. He was going to make her see stars before he was done.
