Don't Bother Me! (Charlie Pinefield x Nerd!Reader)

"Charlieeeee!!!!!"

It was just an ordinary day in Highschool, it was lunch time and you were looking for your best friend Charlie Pinefield. You held your textbooks tighter to your chest as you looked around the cafeteria for that cute little nerd. The two of you would often study together at lunch and talk, sometimes you both wouldn't even have lunch at all! Since you were busy reading your books.

"Ugh, where the Hell is he? Huh? Oh, Orson hey! Do you know where Charlie is?" You waved towards the boy in a red buffalo plaid jacket.
"Charlie? I thought he already went to the library with you?" He raised an eyebrow before biting an apple from his lunch tray.

"I saw him going to the library a few minutes ago" Todd pointed out, you paused for a minute before you let out a long sigh.

"Great, he left me again. U-um, thanks for the help!" You quickly left the Pinefield table all embarrassed, since you've never really talked that much to the Pinefield brothers except Charlie.

You speed walked towards the library with a distressed face, you quietly bursts in and looked around for the Pinefield wearing green.

As you spotted him sitting by a desk reading a book, you storm towards there and tapped his shoulder with a fake cough to get his attention.

He turned around with a blank face, his eyes slightly wider.
"A-ah! (Y/N) hey...!" He chuckles awkwardly, you give him a look of judgement.
"I can't believe you left me in the cafeteria, that's so unlike you!"
"Shhhh!"

You were shushed by the librarian, it made Charlie smile.
"Well I guess it was revenge for that one time where you lied to me that there was an exam and made me study the whole night only to realize there wasn't an exam whatsoever" He stuck his tounge out to you, you raisedan eyebrow in shock.

"When did I ever lie to you about that....?"
"Two years ago"
"What?! How did you even remember that?!"
"I have my ways!"
"Shhhhhh!"

The librarian shushed you two, you glare at Charlie while he does the same but with a small smirk. You turn away from him with a playful pout and started reading your textbook by yourself. After what felt like ten minutes you can just feel that boy leaning his head to look at your textbook. In your heart you started thinking what the Hell is he doing? You turn to him with a confused look

"We used to share and read our textbooks together, dummy" He teased, you rolled your eyes in a playful manner.
"You have your own textbooks, dummy" You chuckled before pointing at his layed out books.

"I forgot one of them, so can we share? Pwetty pweeeaasseee?" He looked at you with puppy eyes that you just can't seem to ignore.

"Ugh! Stop it with the puppy eyes! I'm trying to study" You laughed with Charlie, after awhile you finally had given up and shared your textbook with him, the both of you read it together. You were used to sharing and reading books together with Charlie, but this time it was somewhat a bit different. You two were sitting a lot more closer than before which you blushed at slightly.

It was silence after that, it was mostly because the intensity of your focus on your textbook for the upcoming exam next week.

But you couldn't help but realize Charlie was glancing at you from time to time, you ignored it and continued reading but that's when you feel a hand gently landing on yours. Your eyes widened but you quickly tried your best to hide your flusteredness which isn't easy.

"Pfft, what's up with you? Your face is so red right now" Charlie laughed at you, you lower your head in embarrassment.
"Sh-shut up! You know why!" You squealed. Charlie ignored you and read a different book as he carresses your hand with his thumb. You felt like dying with blushes, since when did Charlie became so....you know.....flirty?!

"H-hey uhmm, Charlie? Can we switch glasses?" You asked the boy wearing a green uniform. He looks up at you with a slight shock expression with a tiny pink blush.

"O-oh? That was sudden....sure" He shrugged off and took of his glasses while you took of yours and gave it to him.

You grabbed Charlie's glasses and put them on your eyes, it was a bit blurry and it's slightly making you dizzy. But besides the blurriness, you could just able to make out a red faced Charlie staring at you in awe.

"Does it look good on me....?" You say, squinting. Charlie smiled as he cupped your face.

"You look so so adorable!" He chuckled and played with your baby cheeks.
"Now give them back please, I can't see shit with your glasses" Charlie said teasingly before he takes of his glasses from you.

"Oh come on! I bet you would look stunning with mine!" You nudged his arm, your glasses was in fact the color purple which is why Charlie wouldn't want to wear it, I guess he might've thought it was too girly.

"It's purple, I'm not wearing purple glasses. I'd rather wear my black ones" He said before he puts on his glasses back, you pouted.
"Hmph, finnee"

As you left the School building, you spotted someone familiar to you from the corner of your eye. You looked to see Charlie waiting impatiently for something, or....well....someone

"Hey Charlie! What's wrong?" You tilted your head, he let's out a huge disappointed sigh.

"I'm waiting for my brothers, Hell knows where they are at this point. I just want to go home and study....." He looks down as he taps his shoes.

"Oh, well I heard that Ichimatsu skipped school today"
"WAIT WHAT?! Oh that son of a-"
"Hey hey hey hey hey! Calm down, I saw Juicy's in the hallway just a moment ago"
"Okay.....at least one of them is coming over here shortly"

You and Charlie don't really know what to say after that, you wanted to leave but didn't know how to. The both of you just stare at eachother for a good period of time.
"I-uumm, I gotta go now. My Mom is sick at home so I have to take care of her" You say before pushing your hair behind your ear.

"R-right! I wish your Mother the best then, tell her I said hi" He chuckles, you smiled before you reached your arms out and wrapped them around his neck as you move your body closer to his.

"See ya tomorrow Charlie" You said before letting go of the hug and waved goodbye to him, Charlie was beyond speechless at what just happened. His face was as red as a tomato and his heart was beating right out of his chest.

"Charliiieee! What's up? Sorry I'm late again but I heard Karla and Todd is having a club meeting right now, as for Orson I dunno where he is. Oh by the way what's for dinner later? Huh? Charlie you okay? Your face is burning red!" Juicy exploded with questions as he looked at his flustered older brother.

"I-I.....Juicy don't tell a-anyone about this okay?"
"Okaaaayyy? What is it?"
"I.....I'm in love with my best friend....."
