It was the morning of the big Wedding, and time for the Haldi to commence.
To Shivaay, Raichand and Ahana's greatest displeasure, they would only get to see the Shergill siblings during the evening, at the wedding, since they had a family tradition of not meeting the groom, and by extension the groom's family a day before the wedding.
Nandini however, was stressed about something else entirely. Now that her brothers knew about Manik, it made everything easier, and Rishabh, Abhi and Rudra had even accepted him wholeheartedly.
But Shivaay was still not talking to her, and not even looking at Manik without a cold expression. Manik said it didn't bother him, but of course it had to. He was her brother for God's sake.
Nandini sighed as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, glancing at her brightly coloured clothes, which couldn't be further away from how she was feeling at the moment.

"You know, you're disrespecting my girlfriend by not appreciating just how beautiful she looks."
Nandini turned around with an amused smile to find Manik leaning on her door, grinning lazily as he took in her appearance.
"No, seriously. You better look into that mirror and smile, properly."
Manik said, as he entered the room and stood besides Nandini, engulfing her in his arms as they looked at each other through the mirror.
"Vaise, couple accha hai. Dono kaafi suit karte hain ek dusre ko, haina?"
Nandini asked with a smirk, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Haan, bas ladki thodi height mein choti hai."
Manik replied, narrowing his eyes, which turned into a chuckle as Nandini turned around to hit him on his chest.
"I think it's the boy's fault okay? Who told him to be as tall as Amitabh Bacchan?"
Nandini teased with a pout.
"Arey think about all the benefits na, see, when we're old, you'll be standing on a stool to tie my tie for me every morning, Nandini. See your name is also appropriate!"
Manik said, making Nandini widen her eyes out of shock.
