Song Of The Chapter: Kya Yahi Pyaar Hai, Unwind Mix by Meiyang Chang and Shashaa Tirupati❤️
-----------------------------//--------------------------

It was 6am, and everyone in the Oberoi Mansion was fast asleep, not wanting to start their day at such an early hour, except for two restless souls.

Manik made his way to the kitchen to get some black coffee for a bad headache, and instead found someone even more comforting, Nandini.

"Couldn't sleep?"

He asked, as Nandini suddenly shivered, getting startled by the unexpected voice.

She turned around and found Manik standing with a black mug, still in last night's clothes.

"Aren't you forgetting Malhotra, I'm an early riser. Even if we did go to sleep at 4am."

She spoke out, smirking at him.

"Oh no, I just assumed, Sammy must be good enough company to keep you in your room all day."

Manik taunted dryly, albeit with a smile, as Nandini shook her head with a chuckle.

"I don't change myself and my habits over boys, never have, never will."

She stated confidently, as Manik nodded, an impressed smile on his face.

"Why are you awake? Shouldn't you be passed out in your room right now?"

Nandini asked Manik curiously, as she checked him out from bottom to top for any signs of a hangover.

"I didn't drink much last night, and I don't know, just didn't feel like sleeping."

Nandini nodded slowly, still confused.

"Nandini, I-I wanted to talk."

Manik began calmly.

"So talk."

Nandini curtly replied, taking Manik by surprise as he smiled widely.

"How long will this go on? We're finally here, in front of each other, after five long years. We're living in the same house, we're going to the same university, how many more signs do we need? Don't you think we should get back together? I miss you Nandini, I do. And I've already told you how sorry I am, and I HAVE realized my mistake."

Manik blurted out everything on his mind, as Nandini listened to him quietly.

"You've realized your mistake?"

Nandini finally asked him, with a raised eyebrow, as he nodded fervently.

"Look, you've seen me. You're with Ayan and Rehaan and Samrat all the time, and I never ever have a problem. I never judge you for it, because I trust you. And I trust our love. The old Manik would've done something stupid like 'forbidding you from spending time with them' or something."

Manik replied, speaking in his defence.

Nandini scoffed and nodded, a tight lipped smile on her face.

"No, you still don't get it."

She accused, the words coming out with a dry chuckle.

"What don't I get?"
