----------------------------⭐-------------------------
To my son and stars,
I know you're sad. I know you're angry at me, for leaving you too. And not even saying goodbye.
But I just couldn't do it, my love. I couldn't say goodbye to my 12 year old son, couldn't tell him that his mother was dying.
So I asked Ishana to give you this letter, my letter, on your 16th birthday, because I know that by now, you're a fine, mature young man, the best kind there is.
You need to know something Ayan, something that I hid from you. But please, please don't hold it against me, or anyone else. It was just something that had to be done.
You have a brother, Ayan.
It was a year after you were born, and your father....well by then I'd gotten to know his real side. He spent the entire year touring and taking care of businesses outside the country. He didn't even know I was pregnant.
The day your brother was born, your mamu was the first one to hold him, and then you. With your tiny fingers, you grasped his, never to let go.
I know how I struggled to raise you, just a tiny little life in my hands. And so I made a decision, your brother would not suffer the same fate. He would not get my divided attention, and your father's hatred.
So I asked your Billy mamu to take him, to take care of him, to give him his name and love him with all his heart, and keep him away from even the shadow of Aryan Singhania.
Armaan Ayan Malik, born just a year after you were, who knows nothing about you other than your name. I've written him a similar letter, for when he turns 15, hoping he finds it in his heart to forgive me.
Ayan, go to your brother. He needs you, he needs his elder brother. He needs his family. He's waiting for you.
Ishana has all his details, because I asked Billy to never contact us, fearing for his safety.
I love you always, and I'm so sorry my son.
Your mother.

Ishana and Abhay Murthy passed away before Ayan's 16th birthday. The letter laid in their chest, undelivered. Until now.
So that just happened.
Until next time, with the epilogue.
