"i feel bad," jungkook said, sitting on his bed. he was hanging out with taehyung who sat in a chair in jungkook's room. he was sitting by a desk, writing things to himself.

"feel bad? you're only doing your job," taehyung said, trying to console the younger.

"i didn't mean to lure him in like that," jungkook admitted. "to be honest, i didn't even know he was a demon at first, but then i felt it," jungkook said sadly, reminiscing about the kiss. he remember the shock, the blood, and hesitation. he played with his own fingers while he absentmindedly thought about the recent happenings in his life.

"what do you mean you didn't mean to? jungkook—you were created to capture demons, it's your job," taehyung said. "they're evil, demons are nothing but scum, they're the ones causing the earth to fall into this pit of endless sin and evil," he tried to explain to the other.

"well i don't remember applying for it..." jungkook mumbled. the older understood why jungkook felt this way. jungkook was obviously not fully angel, what his other half was is something that no one really understood yet. whatever it was, the emotions were getting to him. it's mixing his views, his priorities are jumbled in his brain because he wasn't created properly. his emotions are constantly conflicting each other. to be honest, he was a screw up from the holy council. however, he was proven to be more useful than most of the perfectly created angels.

originally, jungkook was an experiement created by the council, however they were unsure if they had messed up or not. in normal circumstances, the failed creations are discarded but eventually the creation had proven himself useful. despite his many uses for the light, they still assigned him a guardian angel, just to make sure he was living on earth properly.

"look..." taehyung said. "you know how bad l demons are right? you do know that the jimin guy used his charms, his magic on you to try and capture you just the same right?"

jungkook's eyes fell sad. "no he wouldn't do that..."

"but he did, you can tell by how bright red his eyes were, jungkook face the facts, see what's in front of you, you're clouding your own vision," taehyung explained. he couldn't let him fall into this pit of confusion and questioning, he had to make sure he knew his priorities. it was what taehyung was given to do anyway. a guardian angel for the blonde haired half angel.

"is that what i felt? the moment i realized he was a demon was because he used his charms? i'm so stupid, how could i fall for it..." jungkook said, hanging his head in disappointment for himself.

"i'll admit... your lifestyle is not... ideal for an angel, you're easily tempted, but i can tell you're working on it, for example you listened to me the other day when i told you not to go to the club so we went to the arcade instead..." taehyung said, getting up and ruffling jungkook's hair,

he let his body hover off the ground, not too high, but just a few inches.

"but once you met jimin, you fell into the lustful... greedy nature that he wanted you to fall in, so quickly too, i'm trying my hardest to make sure you don't become... you know..." taehyung sighed.

"i won't... i promise i won't..." jungkook mumbled. "i don't want to do anything that'll disappoint anyone."

"then remember your purpose to filter out the sin of this world, you know what that entails," taehyung reminded. it was a cruel world they lived in. war never stops, physically or spiritually. no one ever truly sleeps. cities, countries, entire contents, no one ever rests. they're all wide awake with the war going on in heaven and hell. the angels and demons that are constantly trying to manipulate humanity. one manipulates the good into the bad, while the other desperately tries to fight off the sin. the world was truly cruel.

jungkook remained silent as the older gave him a mini lecture on his priorities, his purpose, and how evil demons were. but the information couldn't stay in his brain. he was too focused on the one person he couldn't have. the demon he knew he couldn't have.

once taehyung left the room, jungkook flopped himself onto the bed. he stared at the plain ceiling, sighing as the fan spun in circles to circulate the air. he compared himself to the ceiling fan. it was like he was stuck to one spot, he was going in circles, making no progress. unlike the fan, he couldn't "circulate the air" instead his efforts had no outcome. he was simply running circles, putting out all his efforts even though they've amounted to nothing.

a small buzz could be heard from his nightstand. he received some kind of notification in his phone. he debated internally on whether or not he was too lazy to pick it up or if he actually cared about what was going on. it was only a few more second before his fingers wrapped around the cellular device and looked at the lit up screen. a smirk ghosted his lips as he read the contact and the message associated with it.
