Two weeks wasn't usually a long time if you were in school since in hogwarts time just seemed to fly by. It had been 2 weeks since Athena was taken from her school and Cedric was beside himself with worry. But not as much as Grayson and Chris as they had spent their entire lives with this girl and for her to be gone like that was not settling at all.
"I'm going to go look for her" Cedric piped up, jumping off of the sofa he was sitting on.
"Cedric-" Grayson started but he had already gone out the door into the forest. He didn't know where he was going but he knew he needed to find Athena. He started to run as fast as his feet could take him shouting her name. Many people were missing her presence and he didn't think he could look and grayson and Chris again with their sorrow and guilt.
"ATHENA" he yelled hoping for a response even though the chances were slim. He felt his wrist burn and he gasped in agony. He let out a groan as the pain increased until it reached its peak and then disappeared. He looked down at the point of where the pain was and he saw an black arrow. He moved his wrist left and right and the arrow would move pointing west. The arrow was like a tattoo dark and black but he could help but feel curious as to how it got there and where did it lead. should he decide to follow it, as the curiosity took over his senses he began to run west as the arrow told him to.

Cedrics pov~

After a few minutes of running, my legs burned from the movement that I refused to slow down. I could hear screaming coming from the shack that was supposingly haunted. I halted for a second before picking up my pace and racing towards the pile of wood called a shack. I ran towards it  not thinking of the dangers because if it was Athena in there I wouldn't care for the risk.
"Athena!!" I yelled trying to see if she was in there.
"CEDRIC" I heard her voice calling out for help and I realised that the voice belonged to the girl I was looking for. I jumped over the fence not even thinking twice about the haunted stories and ran to the door
"I'm going to need you to move out of the way from the door" he said and moved backwards a few steps before ramming into the door. The door flew off its hinges and he scanned the room until he found the girl he was looking for.
"Oh my god I thought I lost you" I said taking off the cloth on her mouth and caressing her cheek with my hand.
"I'm so sorry" she cried and I quickly cradled her in my arms while I take the other restrictions off her. She slowly went to get up but I stopped her in her tracks. Her body felt absolutely freezing and if on the edge of hypothermia.
"No it's okay" I said and picked her up bridal style, careful with her hands which seemed to not stop shaking.
"No one is ever going to hurt you again" I whispered as her eyes slowly closed, shrouding her hazel eyes.
"Athena?" I said getting concerned that she'd fallen unconscious.
"I'm just tired ced" she laughed a bit but it was short lived.

Once I finally got back to hogwarts, I burst through the doors not caring about the looks I was getting. Athena has blood on the corner of a mouth and a small head wound on her forehead so it must've looked bad. A few people were in the corridor, but that was enough to start rumours and whispering.
I ran to the infirmary and placed her on one of the beds as carefully as I could before I sent out Harry, Hermione and Ron, who had followed me into the room, to go fetch the teachers.
"Where am i?" She said in a scared voice. I had never seen her scared before as shown in lupins class, she wasn't scared of anything but nothing stopped her looking and feeling vulnerable at the given time.
"It's okay you're at hogwarts infirmary, they'll take care of you" I said stroking her hair reassuringly
"Will you stay with me?" She asked her voice trembling a bit.
"Of course-" I started but the door burst open to Dumbledore and a few other teachers including snape and McGonagall.
"Oh thank heavens!! Where did you find her?" McGonagall said in a relieved tone.
"In the shrieking shack. She had no harm done to her except for the head injury and I wanted to check that out as well as lack of food and warmth" I said explaining my reasoning for her whereabouts. She looked around innocently as if she was not the topic of our convocation.
"Are you okay" I said wiping a stray tear away with my thumb.
She nodded slightly but anyone could tell that she was feeling overwhelmed with all the people in the room.
"We will leave you to rest but tomorrow we need to know about everything" Dumbledore said and smiled warmly at me. Any of the professors saw how much Cedric cared for the girl and how worried he was getting without her. They knew his feelings went way deeper than a friendship and cedric's feelings we're obvious to any being that saw the way he looked at the girl.
