As I woke up the next morning, my legs tangle in a mess with my sheets. I sat up blinking away the last of my slumber. I frowned, ran my fingers down my face.

"Uhhh!! I had a terrible dream last night, my "not" ex texted me."

The chime from my phone pierced the air, shaking off my thought, I reached over to grab it. I gulped as I stared at the screen.

"It wasn't a dream!"

I glanced through the text Folu had sent previously.

               FopeFolu Smith: Hey, You up?
Been a while. How are you?
Are you there?
I miss you
Can we talk?
Text me when you see this.

Why does he keep doing this on and off. If I said it wasn't making me get my hopes up every time I'd be lying. Did something happen with his girlfriend? Was I a terrible person for hoping their relationship would crash and he'd want to get back with me?

I stared at the recent text for a while contemplating to respond or not.

        Fopefolu Smith: Hey

My phone chimed right after. Now this is getting out of hands

         Fopefolu Smith: Good morning

I took to my phone typing an abrupt reply.

        Me: No!

         Fopefolu Smith: What?

He texted in an instance.

           Me: Stop texting me!

I wished he could read my tone from the text. I've honestly had enough of the emotional imbalance.

Fopefolu Smith: I just want to talk.

                   Me: What about?

Fopefolu Smith: Can we meet?

                      Me: No!

Can he not read between the lines? He probably could not because my phone buzzed yet again.

Fopefolu Smith: Why not?

Me: Why should we?

Fopefolu Smith: You haven't changed, you answer questions with questions.

I was a hundred percent sure he had a smirk on his face as he typed those words.

Me: No You wouldn't do that, You would not
act like you know me.

Fopefolu Smith: I do know you.
