It was now lunch and me, Rhett and Link made our way to the lunch hall. We sat down at the table together and began eating. Rhett said he needed to leave, then turned to Link and said "Don't you need to ask (Your Name) something?" He then patted Link on the shoulder, stood up and walked away. I then faced Link and asked "What is it you wanna ask?" Link started blushing and fiddling with his hands. "Well umm you know like it's the dance this Friday, I was wondering if you'd like to go with me?" There was a short pause. "Yeah, I'd love to go with you!" He blushed even more and had a huge grin on his face.
We finished lunch together and began walking to last lesson. We got there and saw Rhett already outside the classroom. We went inside and I had to sit at the back away from them both as it was the only desk left. Rhett and Link were sat at the front and they were talking, it looked like Rhett asked Link something and Link answered. I read his lips and he said "She said yes" They then highfived each other. It was obvious that the conversation was about me, I was just confused as to why they were so excited.
The bell went, it was the end of school. Me, Rhett and Link walked to the school gates together again. We talked a little as I waited for my mum to arrive in her car. She finally got here and again we all hugged and said goodbye to one another.
