The lesson ended and me, Rhett and Link walked to the school gates. I hugged Rhett and me and Link said goodbye to him and began walking towards my dads car. We got in the back "Hey dad, Link can come for dinner today" "Great! Glad you could come!" my dad said smiling at Link. "Thanks for letting me come sir" "You don't need to call me sir, just call me Chris" he said whilst laughing. Link then smiled and said "Ok Chris" "That's better!"
My dad then started driving us to the house. We get there and we all walked into the house and the smell of homemade Spaghetti Balinese hit us "That smells great ma'am" said Link. My mum turned away from the stove and looked at Link "Thanks! Please call me Amanda" she smiled, Link nodded "Dinner will be ready in about 25 minutes" she said "Ok mum, we'll be in my room, call me down when it's ready" "Ok honey".
Me and Link ran up the stairs into my room, I sat down on my bed and watched Link slowly walk around my room looking at all my gaming posters. "Wow, you really do like gaming huh?" he said "Yeah" I said smiling "Wanna play something?" I asked him "Yeah! I have my 3DS and MarioKart, you wanna play that?" "Yeah!". We grabbed our 3DS's and Link sat on my bed with me and he began to smirk and giggle "I'm a pro at this so I'm probably gonna beat you!" "Oh really?" I said with a smirk.
The first race began and he was in first place until I shot him with a red shell. "Gotcha!" I shouted "No way!" I won the race, he looked at me shocked and said "Wow, you're good!" I smiled at him, hugged him and kissed him. "I'm gonna loose on purpose if you keep celebrating like that!" he said with a smile.
"Dinner's ready!". We heard my mum shout from the kitchen, and me and Link ran towards the kitchen, we looked at the dining table. Of course my mum made us sit together! We began eating "This is delicious!" Link said looking at both my mum and dad. "Glad you like it, it's my own recipe" my mum said. There was kind of an awkward silence after that. "Link's trying out for the school soccer team tomorrow" I said trying to fill in the silence. "Is that so?" my dad said, now facing Link "Yeah, Rhett is in the school team so I thought I'd try and join too" "That's great!" my dad said. My dad was a big fan of sports. We all finished and I collected every bodies empty plates "I'll wash up mum" I said "I'll help!" Link said after me. My mum looked at us both surprised "Ok".
