Today was no different than the rest. I woke up, got ready for work and left my house at exactly 7:01am. Like usual, my first stop was the coffee shop.
For once the sun was out, as I parked my car and started walking towards the coffee shop I could feel it's heat warming up my back. Although it was the middle of winter, I could tell that today would be a warm day. It was nice for once to not feel like I was going to freeze to death.
It took me roughly 10 minutes to walk to the coffee shop. As I entered, I could see Lilly walking towards me. She handed me a cup of coffee and instructed me to sit down.
"If you are wondering why I shouted you a coffee this morning, I knew that you usually turn up around this time and I thought maybe for a change we could sit down and talk." She said answering any questions I may of had.
"Sounds good" I replied with a smile.
She nodded. "Yeah, I thought so too. Soo anyway, it's been like a week since I saw you, what's been happening?" She asked as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Uh, quite alot actually" I answered.
"Well fill me in?"
"Have you heard of 5 seconds of summer?"
She gave me a stern look. "Yeah?"
"So you would know who Ashton Irwin is?"
She nodded.
"Well last week I axidently bumped into him, and then a couple of days later I spotted him here. Like in this coffee shop, and then a few days later he invited me to this party with a few other fans."
Lilly just stared at me. For 5 minutes she said nothing.
"Bullshit!" She said shaking her head.
I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my camera roll before holding my phone up to her face. "Well I got a few photos with him, that's at least got to say something."
"You are one lucky son of a bitch" she said still in shock. "I mean I can't believe he was at this exact coffee shop" she added.
"Yeah I know what you mean."
"So you ran into him three times this week?" I nodded. "Yeah, and to be completely honest with you I'm still trying to process it all all. It just feels like a dream, like a dream come true."
"I don't think you have any idea how jealous of you I am right now" she said as she took a sip of her coffee.
I laughed.
"I just think I was lucky, and that's all there is too it. I refuse to believe that it was anything else. Besides any day now he'll be on that plane to LA where he'll be greeted by thousands of fans and forget about me."
"Well you have to be the luckiest person alive!"
We both took a sip of our coffees and exchanged smiles.
"What would you do though, if it wasn't just luck and you guys become friends or something?"
"I don't know, I guess iv never really thought about it because I know that won't happen."
Lilly laughed. "Well you can't be so sure, you just never know these days."
I guess Lilly was right. You never know what could happen these days because I guess anything was possible. But I was so sure that if I ever saw Ashton again, he would of completely forgotten who I was.
I finished off the rest of my coffee and I stood up. "Well it was good seeing you again and thanks for the coffee, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" I said as Lilly remained seated.
"Yeah I have work tomorrow, so I'll see you tomorrow" she said with a smile.
Having coffee with Lilly was a weekly thing for me. She worked just around the corner from me and we first met a year ago when I discovered the coffee shop. Lilly only worked 2 or 3 days a week and sometimes her hours were changed so I usually only saw her once a week.
As I walked outside and started walking to work I felt my phone buzzing. I pulled it out of my pocket. Cleo was calling.
What could Cleo possibly want?I pressed the green button and answered "Hello?"
"Oh hey Holl!"
"Hey, what's up?"
"You're on your way to work aren't you?"
"Yeah... why?"
"Well uh.. I just had important news to tell you, but it's okay it can wait"
I paused...
"What important news?"
"No, it's fine I'll tell you when you get home, I'll be yours around 2"
"Cleo?! What is it?"
"Oh nothing, I'll talk to you later bye."
The phone call disconnected and I was left confused. What did Cleo have to tell me?
As I continued walking to work it was all I could think about about. I usually didn't mind work and I usually enjoyed every minute of it, but this time I so was desperate for my shift to end before it had even started.
What could be so important?
