That afternoon as I pulled up into my driveway I could see Cleo's car parked out the front of my house. There was no sign of her in the car or outside so I assumed she must of used the spare key. As I walked through the front door, Cleo was sitting on one of the stools and chatting to someone on the phone. She spun around to greet me as she heard me close the front door behind me. She waved and carried on talking. "Yeah, well we'll talk about this later. She's here" I heard her say before I headed up stairs to my room.

Minutes later I heard footsteps behind and as I turned around, Cleo had a big grin on her face.

"So....." she said still grinning at me. "Yes Cleo? Spit it out?" her grin widened. "Well..." she started. "I made it!" She started clapping excitedly and I just stared at her in confusion. "Don't tell me you forgot?" She said staring at me blankly. "You know? The transfer? To go overseas and stuff?" My eyes lit up. "Wait so you're telling me that they excepted your transfer?" I asked. She nodded. "Yes! I leave next week!" I smiled and hugged her tightly. Cleo had been trying to get a tranfer into one of the universities in the states for months but she was usually always knocked back. "I can't believe you made it, I mean I'm so happy for you but i'm going to miss you alot!" I said still hugging her. I felt like crying but I held back every tear. Now was not the time for tears. "I'll miss you too!" She said sqeezing me tight. "But you can visit me anytime you want to, and I promise I'll visit as much as I can" I nodded. We took a step back from each other and laughed. "You better make sure you keep in touch" I warned. "I promise" she said sticking out her little finger. "Pinky promise?" I locked my little finger with hers. "Pinky promise."

I was happy for her, but I knew that I was going to miss her like crazy. Afterall she was my bestfriend and as much as she got on my nerves, I loved her to bits.

"Let's go get something to eat, I'm starving" she smiled. "Yeah I agree, I could do with a hamburger with the lot" she replied as we hurried down the stairs.

It was too hot to cook so we decided to get take out. I grabbed my car keys and we made our way to my car. "I'm going to miss eating crappy take out food with you" she said giggling. I laughed. "Yeah me too."

As I drove to our favourite fish and chip shop, blink 182 was playing and Cleo was singing along word for word. I loved it how we both had the same taste in music.

We arrived at the fish and chip shop and Cleo remained seated in the car. "Same as usual?" She nodded. "Yep!" As I walked to the door of the shop I noticed that she turned up the volume and now she was screaming the lyrics. I laughed and shook my head.

After we got back to my place and demolished our lunch, we decided to watch chick flicks. "So are you staying the night?" She nodded. "Yeah I might aswell, since I leave in a week and I'll be flat out packing. I may aswell make the most of this and enjoy spending time with you because I'm going to miss it!"

I still couldn't believe that she was leaving in a week. "Yeah I'll miss it too."

We had both fallen asleep on the couch watching the fault in our stars. I opened my eyes and stretched my arms while yawning. Cleo was still fast asleep so I decided to start making breakfast.

"Can I smell bacon?" I heard her say after yawning. Her head appeared from the couch and she look over at me. "Yes." She smiled. "Good, because I'm hungry" she said as her head dissapeared and she lay back down on the couch.

The morning went by quickly and we had managed to scoff down a fair bit of bacon.

"I have to leave soon" Cleo said as she looked down at the floor. I could tell that it was starting to get to her that she was moving to another state. I put my hand on her shoulder. "Just promise me you'll visit me at least one more time before you leave." She smiled. "I promise, she said looking up and into my eyes. Looking into her eyes could honestly make anyones heart melt. I loved this girl to bits and I was going to miss her, alot.

The days went by quickly and before I knew it Cleo was leaving in two days. "Hey answer your god damn phone when I call you, yeah!?" Cleo bellowed from my front door as I greeted her and let her inside.

"Yeah sorry I was in the shower" I apologised. "Excuses, excuses" she replied and she sat down. "Have you packed?" She nodded. "Yep. I finished the last of it last night. It was actually kind of sad to look at how bare my room was afterwards."

I sighed. "Yeah I bet, all of this is happening so quickly, I can't believe you are moving to the other side of the world" I paused. "But I'm happy for you and I'm behind you on this every step of the way" I said with a smile. Cleo smiled back. "I couldn't of asked for a better bestfriend" she said still smiling.

"Are you coming with me to the airport to say goodbye?" She asked. "Of course I am!" I yelled. "I don't know how long it will be until I'll see you next, and I just have to be there." She giggled. "Good."

For the rest of the day Cleo and I ate junk food and watched two and a half men. It was good to have a bit of a laugh and take my mind off the fact that my bestfriend was leaving in two days.

"Well, I should probably go back home..." Cleo paused. "But I'll see you at the airport?" I nodded. "I'll be there."

"I'm really going to miss you Holl..."

"I'm going to miss you too Cleo.."
