I woke up on Michael's couch to the blinding sun peaking through the curtains.
I had no idea when I had fallen asleep but as I sat up I could see Ashton opposite me on the other couch, and Luke who was peacefully asleep on the mattress on the floor. As I sat up I scanned the room with my eyes to see if I could see Calum. There was no sign of him in here so I assumed there must be a spare room or something.
As I stretched my arms out and yawned, I decided to check my phone. Just as I had guess, I had a text from Cleo.
Cleo:
Hey, I just arrived at my new apartment! I'm so tired, stupid jetlag...
I hope you're having fun without me!! Miss you, and I'll call you later xxI smiled abit before quickly replying and putting my phone back in my pocket.
As I lay back down on the couch, I could hear footsteps making their way towards the lounge room. For a few seconds it went silent before Michael and Calum started throwing pillows at Ashton, Luke and I. "Wake up sunshines!" Yelled Calum giggling as Ashton gave him the finger and hid underneath his blanket for cover.
I laughed. "Morning" I mumbled.
As Michael and Calum continued to throw pillows at Luke and Ashton, I sat up. Although they obviously didn't want to get up, it was clear that Luke and Ashton were now awake. "Fuck off" I heard one of them mumble, but it just encouraged the other two to carry on with their pillow fighting.
finally giving in, Luke and Ashton emerged from their spots. "We're awake, happy now?" Luke winged. Michael laughed. "Yes we are" he said winking.
Ashton picked up a pillow before swinging it towards Calum's face. Calum covered his face with his hands as Ashton repetidly hit Caum with the pillow. Calum giggled before running behind Michael for protection. "I'll get you little shits back, just you wait" said Ashton smirking.
The rest of the morning went by quicker than I had expected. Luke, Calum and Michael with glued to the tv playing fifa and Ashton and I had been talking about random topics.
Ashton glanced down at his phone. "It's almost 1, you ready to go home?" He asked. I nodded. I said goodbye to other boys and Ashton was already in the car waiting for me.
The drive to my place was quiet. As we pulled at the front of mine, I gathered my stuff before Ashton came to a stop. I looked over at him and smiled. "Thanks" I said smiling a little. He smiled back. "It's okay" he replied.
As I stepped out of the car he yelled something out the window.
"Hey!?" He shouted.
"Yeah?" I stopped in my tracks and turned around.
"I'll be home in a couple of months, we should hang out again sometime?" He asked.
I smiled and nodded. "Yeah sounds good" I replied. I waved and then continued walking towards my front door.
Does this mean we are friends? I asked myself as I walked through the front door. So much had happen is the past few days, Cleo had left, and Ashton invited me over for a BBQ. Since yesterday all I had been able to think about was the conversation I had overheard between Ashton and Michael.
Breaking me from my thoughts, my phone started buzzing and I pulled it out of my pocket and held the device up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey!"
"Cleo!" I shouted.
"Owww." I heard Cleo say.
"I don't want to be deaf" she remarked.
I laughed apologetically. "Sorry."
"No it's fine, how are you anyway?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm good, how are you?"
She giggled. "I'm good, but I have to get use to the weather here.. it's so hot!"
"Lucky you! Anything exciting happen since you landed?" I asked.
"Nah not really, iv just been sleeping and watching some american tv. There news is like so much more dramatic than back home" she answered.
I laughed. "Oh true."
"So anyway.." she continued. "Anything exciting happen with you?" She asked.
I paused. "Umm... no not really" I lied.
"Bullshit!" I heard her yell. "I know when you are lying to me, come on spit it out!"
I sighed and decided to tell her. I told her everything and she said nothing until I finished talking.
"That's so cute Holl!" She yelled.
"I don't know if cute is the word for it" I answered.
"No no no no cute is the word for it! You guys are like friends now and it's cute!"
'You guys are like friends now' I repeated in my head. Friends. Were we really friends?
"I guess so" I finally replied.
"Well, I have to go, it's been nice talking bye!"
The phone call ended and I made my way up to my room and put on a movie.

Ashton and I didn't talk throughout the time he was gone. I wasn't really bothered by it and I had forgotten all about hanging out with him when he got back.
It was a Friday afternoon and I had just finished another long day at work. Since Cleo had left and I had no one to hang out with I had been working flat out. The time that I did spend at home usually just consisted of lots of soppy romance films and pizza.
When I got home I was tired, once again I was probably going to watch friends with benefits since it was one of my favourite movies. As I walked into the lounge room to put on the movie I felt my phone buzz.
I reached into my pocket and looked at the screen.
A private number was calling me. Usually I didn't answer private numbers but I shook my head and answered.
"Hello"
"Hey Holly" I heard a familiar voice reply and I was almost surprised.
"Ashton?" I asked.
I heard lots of shouting and then giggling. "Yeah, I'm calling off Calum's phone" he answered.
I smiled. I had to admit, it was good to hear his voice.
"I was uh wondering what you were doing tonight?" He asked before I could say anything.
"Nothing, why's that?" I answered.
"Did you want to come over? You could stay the night if you want?"
I froze. This is not happening.. Ashton did not just ask me to stay at his place. This is crazy!!!
"Umm, yeah okay!" I finally answered.
I could feel him smiling through the phone. "Great, I'll pick you up at 6" he replied.
"Okay see you then."
10 minutes after the call ended, I was still staring in disbelief at my phone. I guess I should of been used to being surprised by Ashton Irwin when I least expected it, but I was nowhere near used to it.
I checked the time. 4:30. Well I better start getting ready I thought to myself as I made my way upstairs.
I decided to get dressed into something nice, but casual. I slipped on my dark blue skinny jeans and a loose black jumper and quickly did my hair and makeup.
After getting ready I walked outside and sat on the step while I waited for Ashton.
