All three of us sat at the kitchen table. Ashton and I were sitting directly across the table from each other but neither of us had made eye contact, we just pretended to be more interested in the plate of food infront of us.
I'll admit it, it felt weird avoiding any eye contact with Ashton but I couldn't help but tell myself that he probably thought I was a creep.
"So Holly, how long have you known Ash?" Asked Ash's mum, breaking the silence. "Uhh not very long" I replied. Did she know I was a fan? "We met at a coffee shop" said Ash still not taking his eyes off his food.
Ash's mum smiled. "Oh okay" she replied.
It went silent again for the last 10 minutes of eating until Ashton arose from chair and walked into the kitchen with his plate. "Thanks for dinner mum!" He called out. "Hey uh Holly... you can hang in my room if you like, I'm just going for a shower" finished Ashton. I nodded and walked down the hallway and into Ashton's room.
I sat down on the couch beside his bed and pulled out my phone.
Why was I avoiding Ashton and why was he avoiding me? I could hear it in his voice that he found it awkward to talk to me. I sighed and scrolled through my newsfeed on facebook.
A few minutes later I heard footsteps and as I looked up, I saw a very attractive shirtless Ashton. His hair was damp and messy, and he was wearing a pair of grey tracksuit pants. His towl hung over the shoulder of his tan, toned body. As he noticed that I had been staring he giggled. "Hey, I can grab a towl for you out of the cupboard if you want to go a shower" I nodded and followed Ashton.
I had been in the shower for no longer than 5 minutes. I enjoyed the warm water running through my hair and down my body, I enjoyed it's warmth and how it made me feel relaxed. For me, showers were a good time to think, so for 10 minutes I stood under the warm running water thinking about one thing. Ashton Irwin.
I didn't quite know what I was feeling. I couldn't tell if I was still overwhelmed about the fact that Ashton and I were now basically friends, or if I was actually starting to like him. Even if I was starting to like to him, there was no way that I would ever tell him.
I stepped out of the shower and into the freezing cold bathroom, grabbing the dark purple towl only a few centimeters away. I quickly dried myself, got changed and wrapped the towl around my damp hair.
I made my way out of the bathroom to see Ashton standing there laughing at me. "What?" I asked. He kept laughing.
"Sorry, I just can't take you seriously dressed in that" he said pointing at my Winnie The Pooh PJ's. Okay so right about now I felt embaressed. "Hey, Winnie The Pooh is cool okay?" I said defending myself. He smiled at me, he had a huge smirk on his face. "Yeah Winnie The Pooh is cool, and I got to admit you look cute." I giggled. Once again Ashton Irwin was calling me cute. I felt myself go red in the face as he spoke those words cute. Okay so maybe there was no denying that I was starting to like him. And here I was discussing Winnie the Pooh to him as he stood in nothing more than tracksuit pants. Ashton without a shirt was actually quite distracting, it was hard for my eyes to not wander. Stop! I thought to myself as I realised he caught me checking him out. Shit.
Ashton just smiled. "I can put a shirt on if you like." I giggled a little but said nothing, Ashton just stood up and laughed as reached into his closest for a shirt.

We decided to watch a movie, so we sat on Ashton's bed and watched step brothers. Half way through the movie I was laughing like a complete idiot, completely unaware that Ashton was staring at me. As I shuffled myself back against the bed to get comfortable I caught Ashton just staring at me. This didn't creep me out, instead it made me curious. I looked back at Ashton. "Yes?" I asked. He didn't answer. Instead he just kept staring. But I was completely unprepared for what happened next.
Before I could process what had just happened, our lips met. I could taste the sweet taste that his lips delivered as our lips moved gracefully together. Was this really happening?
Ashton pulled away, he looked stunned. "Umm, uhh what was that for?" I asked, completely confused. "I already told you before Holl, you interest me."
So what did this mean? Does he like me or does he just think I'm interesting so he decides to kiss me?
I was sick to death of all this silent treatment we had given each other earlier so I decided to speak.
"You interest me too Ashton, more than you probably realise" he nodded. I gave him a small smile before asking Ashton where I was sleeping. "Anywhere you like, you can sleep on the couch in here or the couch in the lounge room, it doesn't really matter" he answered. I nodded.
As I crawled over to the couch and pulled up the covers, all I could think about was the kiss. What did it even mean?
