Allison's point of view

I stood at the end of Hermione's bed, gripping the edge of her blankets while trying, and failing, not to laugh. This was absolutely worth it.

Carefully, I waited for the perfect moment. Then, "WAKE UP, HERMIONE!" I yanked the blankets clean off her bed. Hermione shot upright with a startled scream, hair flying everywhere as she glared at me in betrayal.

At the same moment, Alice, Rosalie, and Esme appeared in the doorway so quickly they were almost blurs. "What happened?" they asked at once. My eyes widened innocently. "Nothing."

Hermione looked personally offended. "Nothing?" she repeated incredulously. "You nearly burst my eardrums!" She grabbed the nearest pillow and smacked me with it.

"Ow!" I gasped dramatically while clutching my arm. "Excuse me for being excited to wish my best friend a happy birthday!" Hermione's glare immediately softened into a smile.

Before I could react, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me onto the bed beside her. "Hey!" I laughed in surprise. "Thank you," she said warmly. "But next time, maybe wake me up like a normal person."

I pointed at her seriously. "Noted." Alice snorted from my bed while Rosalie shook her head fondly. "So," I said while stealing part of Hermione's blanket and curling up beside her, "what does the birthday girl want to do today?"

Hermione shrugged sleepily. "I don't know." I gasped dramatically. "Not good enough." She rolled her eyes. "How about we go down to the Black Lake?" I suggested brightly. "I'll bring my camera."

Hermione thought about it for a moment before smiling. "That actually sounds nice."

"Yes!" I cheered, immediately jumping off the bed. Without hesitation, I grabbed clothes from Hermione's trunk and threw them at her.

"Come on, birthday girl. Shower first." Before she could protest, I physically shoved her toward the bathroom.

"Allison!" I grinned wickedly while pushing the door shut. "No arguments. Birthday privileges."

Carlisle's Point of View

A few minutes later, Alice, Rosalie, and Esme descended the stairs into the common room, laughing quietly amongst themselves. I looked up from where I sat with Jasper, Emmett, and Edward.

"What happened?" I asked curiously. "Why was Allison yelling?" Alice immediately grinned. She was waking Hermione up to wish her happy birthday." I chuckled softly.

Rosalie crossed her arms with amusement. "She practically attacked the poor girl."

"And then," Esme added while slipping her arms around my waist, "she shoved Hermione into the bathroom."

"Who shoved Hermione into the bathroom?" Ron and Harry had just approached the group. "Allison," Jasper answered smoothly, smirking slightly. Ron burst out laughing. "Yeah, that sounds about right."

"What sounds about right?" Everyone turned. Allison stood at the bottom of the girls' staircase with her hands on her hips. Ron physically jumped. "Bloody hell!"

Allison immediately burst into laughter. Harry smiled automatically at the sound. "You're waking Hermione up by screaming at her," Harry explained. "Then throwing her into the bathroom."

Allison grinned proudly. "She needed motivation." Harry shook his head, still smiling. I noticed Edward quietly snickering nearby while Jasper watched Harry and Allison with unmistakable amusement.

Interesting. "Anyway," Allison continued brightly, "we're spending the day at the Black Lake for Hermione's birthday." Then she turned toward us hopefully. "Do you guys want to come?"
