Carlisle's Point of View.
Concern twisted inside me as I stood beside Allison's hospital bed, watching her lie motionless against the white sheets. Her face looked far too pale, her breathing shallow and uneven.
The sound of the hospital wing doors opening pulled my attention away from her. Albus, Minerva, and Severus strode inside, Madam Pince close behind them with a thick, worn book clutched tightly in her arms.
"What happened?" Albus asked calmly, though I could hear the concern hidden beneath his composed tone. I folded my arms tightly across my chest. "I believe it was shock," I answered quietly. "Based on the symptoms she displayed before she collapsed."
Albus nodded once before taking the book from Madam Pince. He flipped it open to a marked page, and I watched silently as the professors read over the contents, exchanging tense glances with one another.
After a moment, Albus handed the book to me. I looked down at the page, my eyes immediately landing on the drawing printed there. My grip tightened slightly around the book as recognition settled over me.
"She told me she drew that before the school year even began," Madam Pince explained softly.
"And she mentioned she has been dreaming about it repeatedly. It also appeared in her tea leaves during her very first Divination lesson."
Confusion crossed my face as I looked back up at them. "How could she have drawn this when she had never even met us?" Albus exchanged a look with Minerva and Severus before turning back to me.
"There are a rare few witches and wizards gifted with visions of the future," he explained carefully. "They only see fragments—moments connected to their own lives or the lives of those closest to them. These visions most commonly come through dreams."
He paused briefly. "In our world, they are known as Dream Seers." I stared at him for a moment before glancing back toward Allison. "So you're telling me my daughter is a Dream Seer."
"Yes," Albus confirmed quietly. I exhaled slowly and sat down beside Allison's bed, unable to tear my gaze away from her. "Have you told her brothers? Hermione? Harry?" I asked.
Minerva shook her head gently. "We wanted to wait and see what happened first." I nodded once in understanding while Minerva quietly informed Albus that she would go and speak with Allison's family and friends.
"Tell them to wait in the common room," Albus instructed softly. "And tell them she'll wake when she's ready."
I barely heard the rest of the conversation. My attention snapped fully back to Allison when I noticed the smallest movement from the bed. Her eyelashes fluttered.
Slowly, carefully, she blinked against the brightness of the hospital wing. I unnecessarily drew in a breath the moment her eyes landed on me.
Allison's Point of View.
"How are you feeling?" Carlisle asked softly as he checked over me carefully. "Tired," I admitted quietly. "But okay."
He nodded in relief before sitting back down beside me. It was only then that I noticed Professor Dumbledore standing at the foot of my bed.
"Allison," he began gently, "there is something you deserve to know." I listened silently as he explained everything.
What I was, what being a Dream Seer meant, and why the strange dreams and visions had been happening to me for months. It was a lot to take in.
When he finally finished, I simply nodded slowly, trying to process it all. "We'll leave you two to talk," Dumbledore said kindly before ushering the others from the room.
