I reached over with a groan and slapped my hand against the alarm clock the moment it started ringing. Silence filled the room again as I pushed the covers off myself and swung my legs over the side of the bed.
For a moment, I just sat there, still half asleep, before finally forcing myself up.
The first thing I did was make my bed. Living with the Cullens had definitely rubbed off on me. Esme never complained about mess, but I still liked making things easier for her whenever I could.
Once the blankets were smoothed out neatly, I grabbed a towel and headed into my bathroom.
I turned the shower on and waited for the water to heat before slipping out of my pyjamas. The second the water was warm enough, I stepped beneath the spray and sighed softly as the heat washed over me, pulling the last traces of sleep from my body.
By the time I had washed my hair and body, I felt far more awake. I turned the water off and stepped out, wrapping a towel securely around myself before drying off properly.
After twisting my damp hair into another towel to stop it dripping everywhere, I slipped my robe on and headed back into my bedroom.
The outfit I had picked out the night before was folded neatly across the end of my bed. Honestly, it still surprised me how much my style had changed over the last year.
Before meeting Alice, I would have happily lived in oversized jumpers, jeans, and trainers for the rest of my life. Now, somehow, I actually owned clothes that looked nice together.
Alice Cullen was genuinely succeeding in making me stylish, and it was both impressive and slightly terrifying. Smiling to myself, I picked up the outfit.
The dark denim shorts were simple yet cute, paired with a soft floral camisole adorned with delicate flowers and lace detailing around the neckline. Over the top was a fitted light-blue denim jacket that looked casual while still making the outfit feel put together.
Sitting beside the clothes were a pair of nude ballet flats, along with a few layered necklaces that Alice had most likely added without my noticing.
It was effortless and pretty without feeling overly dressed up. Which, admittedly, was very Alice.

Once I was dressed, I headed back into my bathroom and pulled the towel from around my hair. Damp blonde waves tumbled down my back as I plugged in the hairdryer and began drying the rest of it properly.
Warm air filled the room while I worked my fingers through the strands, making sure it dried evenly. Once my hair was finally dry enough, I unplugged the dryer and ran my brush through it slowly until it was soft and smooth.
I stared at my reflection in thought for a moment, trying to decide what to do with it.
Normally, I would have just left it down and hoped for the best, but after spending so much time around Alice and Rosalie, I had actually started learning how to style my hair properly.
