Allison's Point of View.
Over the following month and a half, the tension between Hermione, Harry, and Ron never truly eased.
Harry and Ron were still barely speaking to her, and because of that, Hermione and I spent most of our free time buried in the Library catching up on homework.
Between Quidditch practices, classes, endless assignments, helping Hagrid prepare Buckbeak's case, and training with the Cullens, I barely had a moment to breathe anymore.
Most evenings, I would sneak away to the Room of Requirement with Emmett, Jasper, and Edward.
Emmett had started helping me build strength with weights, while Jasper carefully taught me how to position my body correctly when throwing punches or kicks at the training bags.
Esme and I often sat together afterwards, talking for hours. I told her stories about growing up with the Weasleys, about my brothers and sister, while she shared pieces of her human life before Carlisle changed her.
Alice and Rosalie had also taken it upon themselves to teach me gymnastics. When I finally asked why they were suddenly so determined to train me, they admitted Dumbledore had requested it.
Apparently, this was his solution for helping me control the bursts of magic that happened whenever my emotions became too overwhelming.
The anti-Dementor lessons with Professor Lupin had continued as well. During one session, he explained the Dementor's Kiss and quietly revealed that it was the fate waiting for Sirius Black if he was ever captured.
That was also when Harry and I learned that Remus Lupin had once been one of James Potter and Sirius Black's closest friends. Then came the night Scabbers disappeared.
Ron immediately blamed Crookshanks, and the argument between him and Hermione exploded worse than any before it. At the time, I'd been in the Room of Requirement training. By the time I returned to Gryffindor Tower, Dean had already told me Hermione had run upstairs in tears.
I didn't even hesitate. The moment I heard, I rushed up to our dormitory, where Esme, Alice, and Rosalie were all trying to coax Hermione into unlocking the door.
I stayed with her the entire night until she finally calmed down. Only once she was settled with the others did I leave and head upstairs to check on Ron.
As much as Ron constantly complained about Scabbers, I knew he loved that rat. Two days later came the Gryffindor versus Ravenclaw match.
It turned chaotic almost immediately after Malfoy and the other Slytherins tried dressing as Dementors to scare Harry and me off our brooms.
Unfortunately for them, Professor Lupin's lessons had prepared us far better than they expected.
February 5th
"Allison, wake up!" Hermione's voice cut through my sleep as she shook my shoulder urgently. I groaned and blinked tiredly at her. "What?"
"Ron thinks Sirius Black was in his and Harry's dormitory," she said quickly. That woke me instantly. Within minutes, Hermione and I were rushing downstairs into the common room, where a crowd of Gryffindors had gathered around Ron.
Percy was pushing his way through the students, looking irritated and exhausted. "Percy," Ron said shakily, "Sirius Black was in our dormitory! He had a knife, he slashed up my bed curtains!"
"Nonsense," Percy scoffed immediately. "You probably had a nightmare after overeating at dinner."
"Well, if you go upstairs and see if the curtains are torn to pieces, then clearly it wasn't a nightmare," I snapped before Ron could defend himself again.
