"Hey it's my side!" Helja moaned with a pout before giving a falsely annoyed look at her brother."Be careful Mag my hand can slip."
"I see you two coming!" Hailed Turid pausing in her shopping arrangement forcing the duo to turn to her with wide smiles."If I see paint anywhere other than on the walls you will hear me."
Helja rolled her eyes visibly calmer now before sharing a knowing look with Magne. The latter took up the pole to paint the plinths on the ceiling while Helja painted the bottom one. She tried hard to iron between the pieces of tape that their mother had stuck to help them.
Suddenly the phone rings. Helja immediately paused, giving a questioning look at Magne. The latter also paused before raising his free hand."It's not me."
The blonde shrugged clearly not in a hurry to find out if it was hers. After all, she wasn't really expecting to receive a text. The only people in this town with her number was her family. And Isolde. But well ...
So the blonde tried to resume her activity. The key word ; tried.
She had barely started painting the baseboard when her phone suddenly started ringing again.
"Is any of you going to check their phones?" Sighed Turid, taking another break from his storage.
"This is not mine."
Helja looked annoyed at her brother before sighing as she put down the brush she used in the paint bucket before using one of the rags on the table to wipe her hands. She picked up her phone at the sight of a new text before finding herself leaving a small smile in spite of herself.
Unknow number: Hey...
Unknow number: I mean hi?
Unknow number: Shit!
Unknow number: Okay, ignore the latest messages.
Unknow number: Or not. You do what you want after all.
Helja continued to scroll through the many messages until she reached the last one.
Unknow number: Anyway, I just wanted to apologize for earlier. And I wish we could start all over again if you don't mind. I know it's not very classy on the phone but I didn't have your address. Not that I'm a stalker or anything ... Shit! I really am a loser!
Unknow number: It was Baldr. In case you didn't understand.
"Why are you smiling?" Suddenly asked Turid in curiosity.
Helja immediately picked up on the fact before hastening to lock her home screen under the confused and slightly suspicious look of Magne. The blonde took a breath at the sight of her brother's eyes before pocketing her phone in one of the back pockets of her overalls as she turned to their mother.
