Hejla Seier, daughter of Turid Seier and sister of Magne and Laurits Seier. Returning to the city where their father had perished was not necessarily the definition of happiness for Helja. Even less when she begins to realize that this city is much...
"Tired, tired with nothing, tired with everything, tired with the world's weight that she never chosen to bear."

"I knew I would find you here."
Helja narrowed her closed eyes at the sensation of a shadow hiding the light from the sun on her face before opening her eyelids amorphously just to meet Baldr's blue-green gaze with frown.
"Go away."
She closed her eyes in the hope of resuming her moment of silence only the omnipresent presence of the big brown persisted above her. She let out a deep sigh as she opened her eyes before straightening up in a sitting position on the bench. She readjusted the hood on her head before keeping her eyes fixed on the ground below them."You risk creating a bad reputation for yourself if you keep hanging out with me."
"Luckily I didn't plan on joining the popular gang then." Baldr said immediately as he sat down next to her with his hands in his rain jacket pockets.
Helja frowned at the brunet's insistence before giving him a side look in confused silence. He made no move to recognize her as he kept his eyes on the football field. He seemed strangely thoughtful for someone who was next to an alleged psychopath.
"Aren't you freaking out?"
Baldr sniffled, pretending to think before shrugging his shoulders as he turned to her with a derisory smile."Let's just say that I like to live dangerously."
She swallowed clearly touched by his effort to keep their friendship intact before looking back at the field with emotion. She felt a slight ball of gratitude stuck in her throat leaving Helja feeling vulnerable again.
She didn't think she could be this fragile emotionally. Perhaps all these years of bottled emotions had done nothing to help the situation. She never really agreed to face her demons.
Deep down she had always been aware of the strangeness of her family. She just hadn't imagined that she could be part of a mystical world.
"Baldr." Helja breathed seriously."I no longer want to hear about gods, giants or even mythical monsters. All that doesn't exist. None of this is true. It was just a psychotic episode."
"Helja ..."
"I'm serious, Baldr." The platinum blonde insisted as she turned to Baldr seriously. She supported the visibly conflicted look of the tall chestnut before puckering her lips."If you want to be my friend you have to accept my request."
