|Song: Blood Water by Grandson Broken Down Vol. 1|
Renegade woke up in a bright white room. He looked around and saw the one sided glass. Dejavu...
It seemed that the famous Justice League have finally learned their lesson because he was now strapped to a cold metal platform like the one Waller used. Wait.
No no no. He thought. This was EXACTLY like the one Waller used. Except for that his toes were now strapped to the platform as well. And his mouth was closed shut with a different kind of mask.
What if Batman sold me out to Waller he thought. He started examining his surroundings more carefuly.
He could only look forward. He couldn't move his neck or head even an inch so his vision was limited. He decided to close his eyes and listen instead. It could have been easier if he could just wistle but the mask was doing its job and keeping his mouth shut. So instead, he concentrated on even the slightest sounds.
He listened to the air, the way it flawed. This was a tactic he learned long ago but it was effective. He heard the air hit a different surface behind him. There was a door behind him.
He needed to learn how far away he was from the wall and the door so he could have a chance to escape. He looked at the floor. It was covered with white tile. Perfect. He listened as the air traveled through the small space between the tiles. The air stopped and hit a place Renegade assumed to be the door after 6.2 seconds. Great Renegade thought. He was in the middle of the big interrogation room, far away from the door and freedom.
He checked the restrains. Yep. This was the end of his escape series. Even Renegade couldn't escape from this.
Well, it seems I am going to stick around for a while Renegade thought. He may not have been able to run away but he could at least annoy the people on the other side of that glass. He started staring at the one sided glass. He grinned from behind the mask. His sick smile couldn't be seen because of the mash but it could definitaly be read from his eyes.
He stared at the glass for 17 minutes and 48 seconds. He met with a lot of villians including Captain Cold and Clock King so counting the time was just an habbit for him.
The door opened and Renegade acted like he didn't care. Actually when he thought about it, he really didn't care. It was either Batsy or Waller who was going to come in and both of them were bad news. So from now on, he DID NOT CARE.
Batman walked towards him and stopped in front of. Only to meet the bored expression of Renegade. Batman stood there with maybe his most treatening glare. Renegade didn't seemed to be affected however. He just kept staring at Batman. They just stood there for a few minutes.
"Akrd." (Akward.) Renegade finally said.
Batman sighed and took the mouth mask off Renegade.
"Why am I having a dejavu?" Renegade said.
"Wait, this isn't the room you put me in when you first catched me. And where are your super friends?
"The Leauge doesn't know about your presence in here." Batman said.
"Wait. I thought you goodie goodies didn't lie to each other."
"There are bigger treats than you in this and other Worlds Renegade. They don't know you are here because they don't care."
"Auch. You just killed my ego." Renegade said with a 'hurt' expression.
Batman opened his mouth to speak but he was interrupted by Renegade.
"BUT, that doesn't explain the little mine of iron around my body. So if I am not a big treat, why the hell can I not move?" Renegade said.
Batman sighed and seemed to be thinking for a while. Renegade understood that Batman was going to tell the truth about why he is there so he got excited.
"Oh oh. Story time!" He said, happy like a little kid.
"I know you Dick. I don't know what happened to you after your parents died but I want to believe that kid is not gone." Batman said and took a look at the masked and chained assassin in front of him.
"At least not too far gone."
"Well that was about time." Renegade said.
"What?"
"You finally admitted that you know me." Renegade said looking at Batman directly in the eye.
And this was Batman we were talking about. There weren't a handfull of people in this universe that could look Batman directly in the eye willingly.
"Since the cards are on the table, I have to tell you that I knew you were in that circus that night."
"Bruce."
