The encounter

"You." Batman said in his maybe the darkest and broodiest voice.

Renegade turned and looked behind him, acting like the person Batman was talking was not him.

"Who, me?" He asked 'looking' confused.

"Both of you have one last chance to surrender now." Manhunter said.

Green Arrow and Black Canary noticed Roy who was unconciouss behind Wally and they rushed over to him.

"What do you say R? One last team up for the old days." Deathstroke asked Renegade.

"You got it old man." Renegade said and turned to face the heroes, taking a fighting position.

Black Canary turned away from Roy and looked at the man next to Deathstroke with wide eyes. She just realised how young his voice sounded. Next to him Oliver looked at the kid as well so Dinah understood that he came to the same conclusion as well.

"How old are you kid?" Clark was the one who asked the question they were all wandering.

"Old enough to kick your asses." The man -now kid- said.

Dinah thought he was something like 18 or maybe 19, considering how strong he was.

And then, it all broke loose. Deathstroke was fighting with the League while this man/kid was fighting Young Justice team.

Both men were severly wounded but they seemed to be doing a great job against the heroes.

Then a sudden kick to the jaw from Batman to Deathstroke made the mercinary stumble and fall. After that moment, he seemed to be loosing.

The kid on the other hand, was doing a way better job in fighting the Young Justice team. So far Dinah could see Megan was unconciouss on the floor. Connor was trying to wake her up. Artemis had a deep scratch on her face and her leg but she was still standing and trying to shoot the figure. Wally had a small knife in his leg, preventing him to run. Kaldur was currently fighting the man alongside Artemis and he seemed to be in good shape except a few small scratches. And Roy... He seemed to be whiter than the time they first arrived and loosing more and more blood.

"Flash!" Dinah shouted. "Take Roy back to the mountain!"

The scarlet speedster had a small look at the archer and nodded.

"On it." He said and he was gone with Roy in a flash.

Deathstroke seemed to understand that he was loosing because he was doing more deffence than attacks now.

He had a quick look at the kid and saw that he was winning. He couldn't help but feel a bit of pride for his apprentice.

"If you come out of this one alive R, meet me at the "bird's cage." Deathstroke said and threw a smoke bomb.

With that, Renegade understood that it was time for him to retreat too. He punched Aqualad, knocking him down and got ready to run away. However, he didn't realise that he now had the full attention of Batman who chose to go after him instead of Deathstroke.

Renegade was on the top of the warehouse, running away when a dark figure stopped him. He saw the bat-shaped figure reaching out to his comm and most probably calling out for his team.

"Who are you?" Batman asked and walked to Renegade.

"Barack Obama." Renegade said with a grin.

He could see Batman raising an eyebrow under his cowl.

"Seriously though, did you really think I would say that? What do you think, I wear this stupid mask just because I love having spandex on my face?"

"No. I just needed to d-"

"Distract me. Yeah yeah... I know." Renegade said with an annoyed voice, looking around to see the heroes (Green Arrow, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Superman, Superboy, Wonder Woman, Aqualad and Artemis) forming a circle around him.

"You have lost son. Come with us without fighting and you'll face lighter charges." Superman said.

"Yeah. I don't think so." Renegade said and took out a small box from one of his many pockets. He opened the box quickly and took the kryptonite out.

"Renegade." Batman said with a fragment of realisation and shock in his voice.

Renegade was raised not to give his emotions or thoughts away but even he couldn't prevent a sudden wave of shock appear on his face after the sudden mention of his name. His change of emotions was so quick however that only Batman noticed it.

Both Superman and Superboy took a step back when they saw the kryptonite.

"Very well..." Superman said and that was all the heroes needed, to attack.
