|Song: Trust by Boy Epic|
So... I remember having a deal with you. Anyway, it was a totally awful talk and let's not do it ever again." Renegade said, wearing his glove again and quickly standing up.
"Wait, Renegade." Dinah stood up to and ran behind Renegade who was already half way through the exit.
"No, nope. The session is over and so am I, over with this conversation." Renegade said and kept walking.
"Dick, please." Dinah pleaded.
"Why do you heroes always say my real name when you're trying to convince me for something." Renegade asked and turned to face Dinah.
"Does it work?" Dinah asked smiling.
"Watch me and figure it out by yourself." Renegade said sarcastically and turned back and walked.
"Let me help you Renegade." Dinah shouted behind him.
"Hard pass." Came a shout from Renegade and he walked out of the room.
He kept walking around and wandering around the rooms. He was pretty sure that Black Canary was already telling everything she learned to Batsy. And that certain Batsy or that red robot, Red Tornado, was watching him from the security cameras.
He looked around and saw one of those cameras on his left. He looked directly at it and saluted, smirking at the same time.
Renegade may not be feeling in his mood of a massacre right now, but that didn't mean he was still not a psychopath, or a killer. Despite his age, he was still a killer and the League didn't forget that. They were watching his every move to make sure he wasn't trying to escape or murder anyone. He was also forbidden to approach to any technological device more than two meters. Because if he did, he would hack the zeta-tubes, give himself access and be on a beach in Hawaii.
Or would he be?
Ugh... that stupid inner voice again. Renegade thought trying not to slap himself for having even a spark of a thought like that. Of course he would be. He was no hero. If he could have escaped, he would have already been out of here.
Can't you, really? His inner voice asked this time.
"You're lucky that I can't go near a laptop or a phone right now, because if I could, I would have already googled 'how to kill your inner voice'." Renegade murmured.
He had no idea where he was going. He was just walking and he actually didn't care about it either. He wanted to give Batsy and Canary some time to gossip about him before showing up in front of them again.
Then, something got his interest. A training room.
Renegade walked into the room and saw that all the sharp objects in the room had been removed. No arrows, no knives, shortly, nothing useful was in the room. Well, nothing, except for one thing: a trapeze.
Renegade just stood there and looked at the trapeze. It was like looking at an old photo of him, to a part of his life which was only like a blur now.
It's been long... Renegade thought. And he had nothing better to do, so...
Before Renegade even noticed, he was on the top of the trapeze, showing off his talents.
"So you're saying that Renegade worked with Deathstroke and for the League of Assassins?" Batman asked Dinah.
He remembered Renegade always mentioning the League on his list of the people he ran away from. Batman first thought that it was the Justice League but now he understood that he meant the League of Assassins.
"He has the tattoo. I know that sign. It isn't just the symbol of the League, it's the symbol of Ra's himself. People, only close to him can have that sign, and I mean very few people by that." Dinah said.
"I've heard rumours of Deathstroke having an apprentice in the past. I didn't care about it at the time, Gotham has a lot of false rumours and it seemed like one of them. But now, I think that apprentice was Renegade." Batman said slowly.
"So he is a half Talon, former apprentice of Deathstroke and was close to Ra's al Ghul. What the hell are we going to do with him?" Dinah asked desperately.
"We can try to turn him into a hero." Batman said.
"Him? Him, you mean Renegade?!" Dinah shouted.
"What's your suggestion then?" Batman asked.
"Send him back to prison. He is not our problem."
"He'll escape or get kidnapped." Batman responded.
"Okay... Then, just let the kid go and have a normal life."
"He'll murder someone in his second day."
"Give him to Waller."
"Again, he'll murder someone in his second day, and then escape."
"Ugh..."
"We can help him, Dinah." Batman said.
Dinah looked at the ground, seemed to be thinking for a while.
"Well, if you say so... fine. But don't forget, it's Renegade we're talking about, he might choose leaping off a window instead of getting help from anyone, so don't go hard on yourself if you fail." Dinah said, remembering her offer of help to Renegade and his response.
"I won't." Batman said shortly.
"Good. Becau-" Dinah started but Batman cut her off.
"I mean, I won't fail."
