~2 hours earlier~

It was a usual day in the Mount Justice. Wally was in the kitchen, eating everything he can find. Artemis was in her room, doing the homework her new fancy school gave. Roy was sharpening his arrows. Megan and Connor were watching TV, sitting quietly, just enjoying each others presence. Kaldur was reading a book.

Then the zeta tubes announced Batman's arrival. He called them to the mission room. In less than one minute the whole team was waiting in the mission room for his explanation.

"Team, there is a meta-human trafficing organization in Gotham and they're having a meeting in a warehouse near the Gotham port. The exact location is sent to all of you through your comms. Your mission is to catch them and free the kids they've kidnapped. If things go south, do not intervene and contact a Leaguer immediately. Is that understood?" Batman said with his usual deep, broody voice.

"Yeah, yeah. We are still not good enough. Got it." Roy said with an annoyed voice. That earned him a bat-glare and a punch from Artemis.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Megan said with her face full of excitement. With that they all moved to get on the Bio ship.

~Timeskip~

When they got to Gotham, they found the meta-trafficing organization and rescued the 18 children they kidnapped.

"Well, everything went according to the plan. That's odd. Is it just me or does everyone have this feeling of concern." Wally said while looking at the people they just caught like one of them's head was going to blow up.

"I prefer calling it teamwork my friend." Kaldur said.

"Wait." Superboy said while listening using his super hearing. "Gunfire. Multiple times. It's not far away from here." He said while looking at his teammates.

"You had to jinx it Baywatch." Artemis said while hitting Wally from back of his head.

When the team arrived the place Superboy told them, they saw a man in a black and orange armor.

"Shit." Roy said with wide eyes.

"What?" Megan asked.

"That's Deathstroke." Roy said and Megan looked like she didn't understand anything.

"Deathstroke the terminator." Roy said. Trying to ring any bells in the martian's head.

"Wait, that's Deathstroke?!" Artemis said. She heard her father talking about him a lot. And depending on those stories, there was no way they could beat Deathstroke.

"Wait. Who's that?" Connor asked pointing the other figure which seemed to be fighting Deathstroke.

"We should call the League." Kaldur said and took out his communicator. Two seconds later, they all heard the voice of Black Canary.

"What happened Kaldur?" She asked in a concerned voice.

"Deathstroke is here." Wally said before Kaldur could open his mouth.

"Deathstroke?" Black Canary asked. "Don't engage."

"What if he runs away?" Roy asked.

"DO NOT ENGAGE!" Black Canary shouted through their comms.

There was a growl coming from Roy in return and they started waiting. The fight was still going on and it seemed that Deathstroke was winning.

The team saw Deathstroke taking a knife out from his armor and with a speed that even Wally had a hard time seeing, he stabbed the other guy from the shoulder.

"We have to help him." Artemis said.

They've waited for a response of pain. But there was none. Not even a single change in his face.

"That can't be human." Artemis said.

They watched as Deathstroke knocked the guy down and placed his foot on the man's chest. His expression remained unchanged. Then Deathstroke placed his foot on the man's throat.

"He's gonna kill him. We have to help." Megan said and they all agreed.

"Hey!" Roy shouted.

"Over here big black and orange." Wally shouted and started waving his hands.

A growl came from Deathstroke and he turned to see his new enemies. The man under him gasped for air when the pressure on his throat was gone.

Deathstroke moved towards the teens and threw a knife at their direction. If Wally didn't have superspeed, he would be six feet under the ground. The knife glanced his head off.

This time Deathstroke grabbed his guns and started shooting at the teens. Megan just stood there in shock and Connor jumped in front of her to protect her. Kaldur made a shield for both him and Artemis. Wally ran out of the way and Roy stroke back at the mercinary, shooting arrow after arrow. He dodged when Deathstroke started shooting specificly at him but he was a bit too late. A bullet came right into his abdomen.

The team shouted and Roy was down. Deathstroke approached to the wounded archer.

The teens tried to stop him. But Deathstroke dodged all of their attacks and within seconds the team was down too.

Deathstroke stopped when the whole team was down and he stood infront of Roy who was battling with unconsciousness. Slade put his gun down and he grabbed his sword.

"You fought well. But it was not good enough." He said and raised his sword.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. The team could just watch with wide eyes. Artemis and Megan screamed.

And suddenly, out of nowhere, a knife appeared in the mercinery's abdomen. The same knife Deathstroke used to stab the mysterious man. The man was standing behind Deathstroke and was holding the knife. He pulled it back and Deathstroke dropped the sword.

Wally ran to Roy and carried him back to where the team stood.

"H-he saved my li-life." Roy said, trying to get up. Wally pushed him back and Roy finally excepted unconsciousness.

They turned back to see that two men were fighting again, like they weren't even there.

"Slade!" A dark figure shouted from the shadows: Batman. Behind him, there were Superman, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Flash and Wonder Woman.

Great. Renegade thought. The whole frickin' Justice League.

"Well, things just got a hell lot more interesting." Renegade said with a grin.
