Chapter 7

Kaia POV

It's been two months since the girl... I mean Yevette started staying with me. And if I have to say one thing about her, it would be that she is a quick learner. While Yevette may not be nearly good enough in my standard, for this world, she would be good enough in a few months that she can infiltrate easily without my help. But to meet my standards even remotely, she will need about 2 years.

Raven has bought other kids to me. The ones that showed spirit would start working for me. Some of the kids that were brought to me were good, but I felt they were a bit off, so I trusted my gut and didn't take them in.

Currently, I have 5 people training under me. The oldest in age is around my age. Of course to the world, it would seem like I'm taking in kids to act as servants in my house. Which they were also being trained for in the day by Raven. I am teaching them more than just simple spy work. I am also teaching them assassination. If they work for me, they also need to know about the world. And be able to handle things outside spy work, as it would make a better cover.

Raven seems happy as kids are smart. At first, I thought she wouldn't want to, but the moment I asked her if she could teach the children in her free time. Her eyes almost twinkled as she vigorously nodded her head. I don't know what that was about, but I feel like I would be better off not asking.

Yevette's POV

When lady Kaia started training me, I didn't understand a thing, but as I learned, I found out I was being trained to be a killer and a spy. But I'm just a small girl. How can I kill people powerful than me? While these thoughts kept in my mind. I also felt like I wanted to do anything for lady Kaia she seems really smart.

I didn't know how strong she was until I went with her on one of her missions, this was to collect some dirt on someone that threatened lady Kaia earlier today. I am the only one out of all the kids to join her for mission today.

When we had collected the information that we wanted, we were making our way out of the place, and one of the guards caught me. The moment he found me, he picked me up and was about to say something, then I suddenly fell down. When I looked back, I saw lady Kaia pulling a knife out of the guard's body like it was nothing and said, "let's go." When we reached home, she advanced to her room.

That day I found out what she was actually like. She was a beautiful enigma. Truth be told her form after she killed someone while being bone-chilling was also somehow beautiful. The biggest question was how well she was able to hide her aura. If she wanted, she could infiltrate the king's castle and kill anyone. I have decided to work even harder I wish to be like her someday.
