"jaeyoung." jaemin cuts her off by stating her name.

the girl looks up and glances behind mark. "nana." she smiles, confusing mark.

mark turns around and was shocked to see the rest of his brothers, who were also shocked, at jaemin of course.

"may we take a seat as well?" jaemin asks politely in which jaeyoung gladly agreed to.

mark knits his brows together and turned back to face the girl. jeno and donghyuck on the other hands, sent each other a knowing look before taking their seats as well.

all that was left was renjun. he seemed really displeased. the whole point he decided to come with them was to relieve some stress and forget about the things happening in the palace. however, to renjun, this was something more stressing than the open gates problem they had.

"take a seat." jaemin called for renjun.

renjun squints his eyes at the girl, "we meet again." he grunts and takes the farthest seat from her.

jaeyoung tilts her head, now recognizing the boy, "i guess this library is your favorite place to go to, huh?"

renjun fakes a smile, "definitely."

"the library is my favorite place, especially when you're not around." jeno hears the salty boy murmur. jeno facepalms and lightly kicks renjun's foot from under the table.

renjun winces and sent jeno a glare.

jeno glares back, "be nice." he mouthed.

renjun rolls his eyes and proceeded to read a book he just claimed.

"weird... you guys know each other, too?" jaeyoung questions, gesturing to the boys.

donghyuck fake coughed and eyed jaemin, "yeah, we happened to know each other, too!"

"are you three training to be knights, too?" jaeyoung asked, referring to jeno, renjun, and mark.

mark tilts his head, "knights?"

jaemin presses his lips into a thin line and lightly nudged mark on the side, grabbing the older's attention.

on the other hand, renjun was already deadpanning at the situation they were in. "actually—" he was about to speak up when mark cut him off quickly.

"not really."

jaeyoung nods her head, "where do you guys go to school then?"

"we're... homeschooled." mark slowly answered her.

"ahhh, no wonder."

"say, jaeyoung, was it?" renjun spoke up, causing the boys to send him a look in which he totally ignored them.

jaeyoung lifted her head and hummed in response.
