3RD PERSONS VIEW

a bright and sunny saturday morning it was as the girl jolted up from her deep slumber. arms patting down the white blanket, eyes slowly fluttering open, adjusting to the sunbeam coming in from the long vertical windows. a groan left her lips, "argh, where the–"

"good morning princess haera!"

she flinched in her spot, rubbing her eyes she shot wide at the two maids by the doorway. "uhh... what?" she chuckled awkwardly, reaching to comb her hair.

"you're at the palace, princess. we're assigned to prepare you before breakfast." one of them said, "i am yunha." the blonde haired maid introduced her self. "and i am jiwon." the light brown haired maid waved at her.

"oh, you're the ones who assisted me last time." jaeyoung giggled, "no need to call me princess," she told them and she noticed their worried faces, "treat me as a friend."

"i-is that okay with you?" jiwon tilts her head and the girl nodded, "of course!"

"let's go get you ready!" yunha exclaimed as the two maids approached her. the two lead her to her own bathroom and got her bath ready,

"what did you feel after finding out you were a princess? honestly, looking at you, you do have some resemblance with queen hera!" yunha pointed out as she used the towel to gently dry her hair until it was damp.

jaeyoung chuckled and looked at the mirror, "do i? i don't really know... i guess i'll try and get used to it?"

they helped dried her hair, despite her childish wails telling them that she could do it perfectly fine alone. afterwards they gave her an outfit which was a cute light blue dress paired with a white cardigan to keep her warm.

since it was the first day of december, winter is definitely up in their skins; with the cold thin air passing by from time to time.

a faint knock alarmed the three girls as yunha stood up to answer the door. upon opening she immediately bowed down, greeting the sudden visitor. jiwon did the exact same thing when jaeyoung's visitor stepped into the room.

"guess i didn't need to wake you up," he deeply chuckled and smiled at the girl.

"good morning to you too, yuta." she smiled and stood up from her vanity.

"well, princess, you're going to meet the king and queen again at the throne room before we eat breakfast." yuta informed her, stretching out his hand for her to grab, in which she gladly did.

"am i going to be alone?" she tilts her head as the prince escorted her way to the throne room.

"nope. you'll be with the two oldest, taeil-hyung and youngho-hyung."

she nodded her head calmly though deep inside she felt like freaking out any minute now. she wasn't particularly close with youngho, they rarely even talk unless it was simple greetings.

"there they are." yuta pointed towards the entrance of the throne room, where taeil and youngho could be seen talking to one another.

"jaeyoung-ah! you're here," taeil pats her head and smiled softly, "we're going to meet the king and queen before we go to breakfast."

yuta stifled a laugh, "that's what i exactly told her."

youngho glanced down at the girl, seeing her fingers fiddle with the hem of her cardigan made it clear to him that she was nervous. he cleared his throat, catching her attention for a split second, "uh... we're not really– um, close but i hope we would be in the future." he said, stumbling upon his words.

he cursed himself in his mind for hesitating, waiting for the girl to respond back. jaeyoung stared wide at him, as shocked that youngho actually talked to her and said her that. she clears her throat as well, fake coughing, "well– um... i hope so too!" she grins at him making his lips fail to keep the straight face he had since she arrived.

"don't be nervous, they won't hurt you." youngho assured her, a hand resting on her shoulder.

taeil looks at the two, "shall we go?"

the duo nodded at him and he looked at the guards who immediately got the signal. the doors to the throne opened and they walked in to greet the king and queen.

lady misun smiled upon seeing the girl. stepping down from the small stage, she walked towards jaeyoung and gave her a hug, "i'm so glad to see you here."

jaeyoung gave her a smile, "i can't say the same... i'm still not use to... this." she pointed out, looking around the throne room.

lady misun chuckled and used a thumb to caress the innocent girl's cheek, "you love it here. i'll make sure of it."

"the boys will help you with your classes and teach everything you need to know." she stated, "i'll even teach you when my schedule is free."

jaeyoung gaped at her words, "that's great, but... i won't be attending my regular school anymore?"

the king suddenly stepped up, "princess, i know it would take time for you to adjust with a whole new different surrounding, but it is to ensure that you are safe."

"safe from the eastern tribe?"

the king nodded sadly, "yes, princess."

jaeyoung's stomach churned at the thought. what was so special with ehe that attracted the eastern tribe? if anything, she wasn't even close to being special. however, what she didn't know was her talent to attract people towards her.

with her unexpected words, you'd never thought you'd lay eyes on someone who was just a normal village girl. but then, it turns out she wasn't just a baker from mrs. kang's bakeshop, she was a princess.

a girl who's character resembled so much of a princess.

"we should go and have some breakfast first, afterwards you'll have study sessions."

and that was how jaeyoung's life slowly changed.
