It's Kinda Cold (Elsa X Honeymaren)

Chapter 5

Honeymaren's POV

"Come on let's go," Elsa says with a smile on her face. "O-okay." I haven't been to the lake since the accident. What if I'm not ready to go swimming. I can't let them know I'm scared though. I think as I walk beside Elsa towards Anna and the boys. I look over to see Ryder in shorts looking at me concerned. He walks over to me and whispers, "Are you sure you're ready?"
"No. But I don't want to let them down."
"Maren, if you're not ready, don't do this." He whispers.
"I'll be fine. Don't worry." I say and smile at him. He lets out a breath. "Okay." He says smiling at me trying to hide the concern in his eyes. It's okay you can do this.

"Come on lets go," Elsa says and takes me by the hand pulling me gently towards the lake. "Okay.." I say barely above a whisper. She lets go of my hand and slowly gets into the water. I slowly follow her lead and get into the water when I suddenly get hit with flashbacks of what happened.

Next thing I know I'm hugging Elsa tight while sitting in the sand hyperventilating. As I slowly get out of my state of hyperventilating I can hear her beautiful voice singing. I slowly stop and feel my self relax into her. "Shhhh it's okay Honey." She says hugging me and stroking my hair gently. I slowly feel myself fall asleep.

Elsa's POV

I had gotten in the water and I could see Honey hesitating to get in as well. She slowly follows my lead and gets in the water. "Honey are you okay," I say, she looks distracted and looks as if she can't hear me. Suddenly she gets a scared look on her face and starts to breathe heavily with a pained look on her face. I look over at Ryder who has a panicked look on his face. I quickly waddle through the water and scoop her up. I quickly get her out of the water and gently lay her down on the sand and hug her. She quickly latches herself on to me and hugs me tightly. I start to stroke her hair and sing to her. I can feel her relax. "Shhhh it's okay," I say to her and I look down to see her slowly fall asleep. I sit there with her on my lap and look at her tear stricken face. "What are you doing to me Honey," I say to myself quietly. I look up to see the others walking up to us quietly. "Is she okay?" Ryder asked. "I don't really know," I say as I stroke her hair. "What happened?" I ask. "That's not my story to tell." I look up and nod at him. "Guys I'm so sorry if I had known that something like this would happen I would have never forced her to come," Anna says quietly looking guilty. "It's not your fault Anna, I should have known that she wasn't ready." Says Ryder. "It's no one's fault," I say and get up and gently pick Honey up. As I have her in my arms I say." I'm gonna take her back to camp I'll be back." I walk slowly back to camp and look at her curled up in a ball against my chest. Aww, she's so cute. As I get to camp I decide that I'll put her in my tent. I open my tent and gently lay her down and cover her up with a blanket. I stand over trying to decide if I should stay with her or go with the others when I hear someone behind me. I turn to find Yelana looking at Honeymaren shaking her head. "She did it again. You know she would never tell me why she always feared that lake she only told Ryder but he, of course, would never tell anyone if she made him promise." She says walking closer to her. She bends down and gently pats her head. "Well I'm glad you were there for her, last time it took hours to get her to calm down." She gets up. "Well I should go and so should you, your sister is about to leave and you need to say goodbye."
"They're leaving already?!" I whisper yelled. "Well, Elsa you've been in here for a couple of hours." She says chucking. "Oh my goodness. I hadn't even realized how long I was here."
"Well, time flies when you're with someone you love," Yelana says smirking. I feel my cheeks get hot. "Well, I'll leave you to it." She says walking out of the tent. How does she know? Wait I love her? I walk out of the tent and look around to see Anna talking to Ryder and Kristoff while Olaf is making funny faces at Sven. As I walk over I'm engulfed into a big from Ryder. "Thank you." He whispers into my ear and let's go of me. I give him a small smile. I look at Anna who has a sad smile on her face. "Hey we're about to leave, tell Honeymaren I said goodbye and sorry." She says going towards me for a hug. I hug her back tightly. "Okay, be safe I love you," I say to her. "Of course I love you too." She says and gets on the wagon. "I'll see you guys next week." She says as we're all saying goodbye to each other.

After we all said our goodbyes I watch the wagon go onto the trail towards Arendall. "Bye, be safe," I whisper to myself. I feel a hand in my shoulder I turn to see Ryder smiling sadly at me. "Hey don't be so sad you'll see her again in a week. But for why don't you go rest it's getting late. Goodnight." Walking towards his tent. "Goodnight," I say back and walk back to my tent.

I walk into my tent only to remember that Honeymaren is in my bed. I quickly get changed and decide to lay next to Honey. I slowly get under the warm blankets next to her and try not to disturb her. All a sudden I hear her whimpering. "Stop it stop get away from me." I hear her whisper furiously. I turn around to see her sleep talking with tears running down her cheeks. "It's okay it's okay," I say and hug her softly. She slowly starts to calm down and snuggles into me. I feel myself get red and I see little snowflakes start to fall around us. Whoops, I stop the snowing and gently pull her closer to me. "Hmm cold." I hear her whisper right before I fall asleep.
