It's Kinda Cold (Elsa X Honeymaren)

Chapter 9

Honeymaren's POV

"Mareeennnn Mareeenn......." I hear an all too familiar voice call, "Maren Wake up!!" They scream in my ear and I jump up scared, falling off my bed. I groan and I hear laughter. I look up to see Ryder looking down at me smug and Elsa trying to hide her giggles, I glare up at her playfully. She just laughs and asks, "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes I must admit this bed is very comfy," I respond, trying to get up from the floor. She smiles at this and offers me her hand which I accept graciously.

After Elsa lead us through the seemingly never-ending corridors of the castle to the dining area we see Anna and Kristoff sitting at a long table with Olaf eating what seems to be pancakes. "Finally up," Anna says jokingly. "Gosh I haven't slept like that in such a long time," Elsa says stretching. As she stretches I see her shirt riding up her slender soft-looking stomach slowly. Oh gawd, is it hot in here or is it just Elsa!? I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my side. "Oww, what was that for," I say to Ryder who's smirking at me. He leans down and whispers in my ear, "You were gawking at her." This makes me go red and he starts laughing. I elbow him. "Oww jeez woman no need for violence." Elsa looks over at us and giggles.

"Well guys dig in," Anna says as we all take a seat at the table and are served by the maids. "Thank you," I say to an older lady that places down a plate with a nice stack of pancakes on the table for me. "You're welcome, dear." She says smiling. "So how is everything over in the forest?" Anna asks. "Well the reindeer population is definitely going up," Ryder says jokingly.

As we ate we continued to make small talk until a man in a suit comes in and walks over to Anna and bows. "Your majesty the planning staff would like your opinion on the ballroom." He says in a fancy tone. "Yes, of course, my sister and I will go take a look right away." She responds, "if you guys are okay with spending some time with Kristoff and Olaf while Elsa and sort some things out," Anna says looking over at Ryder and me. "It's okay." We respond simultaneously. She smiles.

After breakfast, we went out into town while Anna and Elsa went to take care of business. "Oooo Maren check this out." I hear Ryder call me over from a stand. I walk over to him looking at some bracelets that have little reindeer figures on them. "Rydeerrr." I groan as he looks at them with excitement. Out of the corner of my eye, something catches my attention. It's a necklace with a beautiful wood-crafted snowflake charm. I walk over to it and admire its beauty. The older man that runs the stand sees me looking at it and walks over to me. "It's very beautiful, right?" He says. "Yes, and the craftsmanship is amazing," I say. He lets out a chuckle. "Thank you." He says. "Did you make all of these," I ask curiously. "Yes, it's something that my grandfather taught me. Do you happen to be from out of town?" He asks. "Yes actually, I'm here with a friend," I respond and he smiles. "You're the girl that came with Elsa. You have a brother too, right? The townspeople are very excited to have you here." He says. "Yes, the dork that is fawning over your reindeer bracelets is my brother," I say and he laughs. "Hmm, do you like this necklace?" He asks. "Yes, not for me though. Either way, my brother and I don't have anything to pay for it with." I say and he smiles and grabs the necklace and places it in my hand. "Here take it, think of it as a welcome to Arendelle gift."
"Oh I couldn't," I say trying to give it back. "No, I insist. Please take it your girlfriend will definitely like it." He says and pushes it back into my hands. "What?!" I say. "Come on there is no way you guys aren't dating yet. The reason that everyone is so excited about you guys being here is that whenever you arrived it was obvious you have a thing for each other." He explains. "We're not dating," I say slowly. "Oh, well please take necklace im sure she'll love it." I finally give in and sigh. "Okay, but is it really that obvious?" I ask. "Oh yeah." He says smiling. I groan and he laughs. All of a sudden I feel a chill go up my spine as I feel the temperature around me drop and the man stops laughing. "Did you feel that?" I ask and he nods his head. "I should probably get going. Thank you for the necklace." I say. "No problem." He says smiling as I walk over to Ryder. "Ryder, did you feel that?" I ask and he nods with a concerned look on his face.

Elsa's POV

"Elsa please calm down I don't want you to freeze the castle," Anna says. "Anna why didn't you say something earlier!?" I ask her while the floor is slowly freezing over.

A bit earlier

"So what do you think?" The planner asks us. "I think it's lovely Marcus," Anna says. "Yes as do I, I really like the chocolate fountain," I say trying to reassure the man. He smiles. "Thank you your majesties." He says bowing and walks away.

"Okay, Anna what did you want to talk about?" I ask her as we walk to her office. "Well, Elsa as you know Hans is going to be arriving tomorrow." She says grimacing. "Yes?" I respond as we walk into her office.
"Well, it turns out that it's the same day that the annual Trading Ball is held and the council is really wanting to fix our issues with the Southern Isles." She pauses and I nod my head encouraging her to continue. "So the council has invited Hans to stay the night for the ball." She says slowly.
"WHAT?!!" I yell and the temperature around us drops. The walls start turning to ice and Anna shivers. "Elsa please calm down I don't want you to freeze the castle," Anna says. "Anna why didn't you say something earlier!?" I ask her while the floor is slowly freezing over. "I didn't know myself until the day that you arrived. But I didn't want to spoil a happy mood." She says still shivering. "Let me get this straight, so that bastard is going to stay overnight," I ask in an angry tone. She squeaks out a small yes. I sigh and sit down on one of the chairs. "Elsa......are you okay?" I hear Anna ask in a small tone. "Yes I'm fine, I just can't stand the thought of that jerk getting the chance to hurt you again," I say. I feel her hand on my shoulder and look up and see her smiling down at me reassuringly. I give her a weak smile back. "I'll be okay don't worry I have you guys here with me and that's all that matters." She says and I stand up and give her a hug. "Elsa...." I hear her mumble into my shoulder. "Yes?"
"Can you unfreeze the room it's getting really cold." She says shivering. I let out a laugh and evaporate the ice. "Come on Kristoff, Ryder, Maren, and Olaf are probably back by now." She says and we start to walk downstairs together.
