Thinking thoughts

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

After the farewell with Crescent Moon Alliance, they found several new pieces of information in the current Elder Tales.

First, similar to the real world, they will feel hungry and have the urge to eat food. But, there is one major problem ...

All of the food looks very delicious like burgers with juicy patty or pizza with hot stretchy cheese. Cold beverages like orange juice and sizzling soda are sold in the market as well. It will be like a food paradise if only there is a taste!!! (Author note: wow... tasteless food...)

All of the cooked foods and processed drinks have literally no taste... The only foods that have taste are raw ingredients such as fruits, sugar, salt, and pepper. You can taste the sweetness in an apple but you would taste nothing in an apple pie... It is really disappointing and torturing.

Second, after that food nightmare experience, Shiroe suddenly remembered a particular subclass, which is Chef. He assumed that maybe a chef with a max level would be able to produce food with taste. However, the result is also disappointing even if the chef uses the cooking commands set by Elder Tales. Hence, Rinne had informed Shiroe that there might need a deeper investigation into the current Elder Tales subclasses.

Third, their stamina is set according to their Elder Tales character, unlike the real world. Hence, they could not feel the fatigue that easily even though it is a long-distance journey compared to the real world. Normally, we would feel tired by walking from one town area to another in the real world. However, they do not feel tired even after having several monster battles to gain experience and walking back and forth between the town area and the field monster zone.

Fourth, death is not an escape route in Elder Tales. Recently, there is a player, who had 'died' in one of the monster zones outside the city. He was able to revive back to the cathedral, which is the same game setting as the Elder Tales. So, even if you have 'died', you could be revived in the cathedral with the compensation of your experience points, similar to the game setting.

With that, Shiroe and Rinne come to the conclusion that they are really living (alive) in the Elder Tales world by simply 'obtaining' their character settings. Due to that, they decided to do the last and the most crucial test, battle skills.

The party of four had decided to go to Archive Tower Forest, which is suitable for low-level players to train with monsters about level 20. Since their main motive is to familiarise their battle mode, they decided to start at the low-level monsters to decrease the chance of 'dying'.

However, it is not easy. Usually, you would only require to click the skill button to activate the skills or click to activate the auto-battle for your character. In this case, you are physically fighting with the monsters by commanding or activating the skills yourself. With that in mind, everyone was hesitating in entering the forest without knowing how to activate their own skills, except for a joker in the party, who is trying to enlighten the tension.

Flashback

"It's going to be alright !!! I mean we all are level 90 adventurers! So, it will be fine~" Naotsugu convinced the party with his happy-lucky tone.

Flashback end

Now we know, Naotsugu does not own a thinker hat... How wrong is he... Rinne thought.

It is indeed they can defeat some level 20 Brier Weasel but with much difficulty. In this party, Naotsugu acts as the tanker, Akatsuki acts as the front attacker, Shiroe acts as the full support, and Rinne acts as the mid-support-and-attacker. However, due to the inconvenience in using their skills, it is very hard to concentrate and multi-tasking in both activating the correct skills on the Brier Weasel.
