*a couple months later*
"Dude you can't do that." Justin said.
"Watch me." I said.
I bullshitted my mother and father's signature on this letter from school. We were currently in the office. We both had gotten detention the other day cause we kept interrupting class.
And not wanting to deal with my mother babying me, I never told my parents. But Justin on the other hand, the little goody-two-shoes he was, told his parents.
"There." I said finishing off my father's signature.
"They're gonna know it wasn't your parents who signed that." He shook his head.
"We'll see." I winked at him then called over our school's secretary.
"What can I do for you boys this morning?" She asked with a smile.
"We got into a little trouble yesterday and had to get these signed, we were told to bring them to the office." I handed her my paper.
She examined it closely. Then nodded. "And yours?" She held out her hand to Justin.
He placed his in her hand and she examined his just as she did mine. "Alright. Here are your detention slips. Today after school until 3:30." She scribbled stuff on two slips then handed them to us both.
"Thanks I guess." Justin said looking at it.
"You welcome now get to class. You don't need another one, these stay on your record." She said.
Is that supposed to make us care?
I nodded and we both walked out. I waited til we got away from the office to do a little dance.
"Ha, told you they'd buy it." I bragged.
"That's total bullshit. I've seen your parents signatures and those looked nothing like theirs." He said.
"But the school doesn't know that." I winked at him then turned to jump up and touch the doorway to the stairs.
"Wait so you always sign school stuff?" Justin asked doing the same.
"Yeah. There's no need for my parents to know about anything that's happening in school." I shrugged.
"I wish I was a good of a liar as you. So many things I wish I didn't have to let my mom know." He said as we jogged up the steps.
"You don't." I said.
"Yeah, if I try to keep something from my mother. One look at me and she knows I'm hiding something." He said.
"Well then you're shit out of luck orrrr you just need a better poker face." I said.
"True. But gotta go." He said as we stopped at his class.
"Alright man see you at lunch." I dapped him.
"Aight. We're meeting in the front of the school today don't forget." He said as I walked away.
"Aight aight, got you." I put up the deuces.
The bell long since rung but I was in no hurry. I had Physics and let's just say me and physics don't mix. Especially my teacher. I walked into class having everyone turn their eyes from the board to me.
"Mr. Malik you're late." Mr. Murphy announced.
No shit Sherlock.
"I know." I simply said sitting in my seat.
