Vol. 3 Ch. 25 The Tournament Begins!

The Next Morning

I woke up and opened my eyes to see the love of my life still sleeping on my chest. I smiled and gently moved her off of me without waking her. I got up, put my boxers on, and went to the window. I looked out the window and watched as the sun rose.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and saw Blake wearing one of my button up shirts. I smiled and said, "I'm sorry if I woke you, babe." She smiled and said, "It's okay. Just come back to bed. The tournament doesn't start until this afternoon." I nodded and laid back down on my bed. She kept my shirt on and laid down next to me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and we stayed there cuddling for the rest of the morning.

Eventually we got up and got ready for the day. Blake and I headed down to Amity Colosseum, holding hands. When we got to the arena floor with the rest of team RWBY, I kissed Blake and said, "Good luck out there, babe. I'll be cheering you on." She smiled and said, "Thanks, Y/N." I smiled and went up into the stands.

I met up my girlfriend and her team after their match and said, "You girls were great out there!" They smiled and Ruby said, "Thanks, Y/N." Blake came over to me and said, "I heard you cheering us on." I smiled and kissed her hair. We made our way back to the campus grounds. Ruby then said, "Is anyone else starving?"

I had my arm around Blake, who said, "I may have worked up an appetite." I heard the growling of an angry beast from her stomach which proved her statement, much to her embarrassment. Weiss sarcastically shrugged her arms and said, "Gee, if only there was somewhere on campus to get food around here. Oh, wait." Ruby takes Weiss' shoulder and said "It's okay, Weiss, I forget about the fairgrounds, too." Weiss knocks Ruby's arm away and said, "I was being facetious?" Ruby freaks out and said, "Gah! Well if you were hungry, why didn't you say so!?" Yang replied, "Come on! I know just the place." We all followed her.

I was in my dorm reading Slave to the Sword, when I heard a knock on the door. I marked my spot in the book and answered the door. When I opened it, I saw Velvet standing there. Confused as to why she was here, I said, "Hey, Velv. How can I help you?" She smiled and said, "I was wondering if you could help me with something."

I raised an eyebrow and said, "Is something wrong?" She looked at me and said, "No, I was just wondering if I could take a picture of your weapons so I can properly use your fighting technique with my semblance." I smiled and said, "Sure. I'll go get them." I walked over to my dresser and grabbed them.

After Velvet finished and left, I pulled up the 2v2 matches on my Scroll. After a couple matches, I saw that Coco and Yatsuhashi were up. When they lost, I was kinda upset.
