Alex drove the car while I was on look out, we both sat in silence. Taking in what had just happened. This was all to familiar to me, the home invasion, the shooting, escaping in the car. This was what happened that night...the only thing we need now is a bridge... All the feelings I had that night came flooding back, the fear as I screamed. The visions of my parents faces kept flashing in my head. Was it fates twisted way of fucking with me?

My hand never left my gum, my moved left right and centre following every car that drove past us. We were nearly killed tonight...and my biggest question was who sent them?

We had been driving for about 20 minutes on a freeway before I relaxed into my seat. My mind was fixated on what had just happened and who caused it. It was defiantly someone who knew about us, how else would they have known to go for this house? I drones everything around me out, I was that oblivious I didn't head Alex call my name, I only noticed when he placed his hand on my knee, brining my attention to him.

"Hmm" I hummed, blinking a couple times. My eyes began to sting from staring out the window too long.

"I asked if you were okay, you haven't said a word for last 45 minutes."

45 minutes? I thought we had been driving around for 20. "I'm just trying to think of why and how this happened." I answered, turning my head to look at him, for the first time tonight. His was looking towards the road before he turned his head towards the passenger seat I was sat on. I noticed the cut under his eyebrow, with a small trinket of rolling to the side of his face. He was also rocking a busted lip right now. If that's what he looked like I dread to think what I looked like right now.

"I gathered that part." He said, turning his indicated on and turning right, into what looked like the shadiest motel ever. I'd stayed at places like this undercover, or when my target was staying at these motels and I was tasked to 'take them out' there.

"Looks...lovely" I said eyeing the shady run down building in front of the car. It had three floor, and was shaped like an 'L'. I leaned up from my seat and looked up to the second floor where a muscled man, wearing a white tank top and a blue bootcut jeans. I cringed internally as I thought who the fuck wears bootcut anymore. He has tattoos all down his arms and leaned on the railing smoking. He looked down at our car before letting out a big puff of smoke. "I hate places like this." I whispered sitting in my seat normally.

Alex applied the hand-break and looked around. "Didn't take you for one to be scared of motels Watts." He said smirking. I don't know how he did it with just a simple sentence but I forgot about the situation we were in for a split second and looked at him, like we were back at the beginning of this twisted mission throwing sly digs at one another. I rolled my eyes, unbuckling my seatbelt.

"Don't think I haven't forgotten about you and your fear of hospitals." I replied tilting my head to the side. He didn't say anything he just flipped me off and jumped out the car. I laughed to myself before following after him. I looked up to the third floor watching the bold tattooed man watching us. He smirked as his eyes landed on me and winked, I wasn't impressed. Instead I frowned and rolled my eyes. Not surprised when his resembled an angry toddler.

I followed Alex inside to the main reception. It was small but bright. A long sofa by the door with a magazine rack on the side. A small tv opposite the tv however facing the check in desk to the left. There was a large fish tank in the back of the room filled with a range of coloured fish. Who would have thought they'd be fish enthusiasts here. We walked up to the check in desk, welcomed by an empty seat, and a half read magazine. My eyes darted to the small bell in-front of us. I reached out to press it but was beat by the big man child next to me. Alex wore a child-like grin on his face as he pressed the bell the second time. He was about to go for the third time when a woman with dark long straight hair walked into the room, she wore a black tank top and a black cardigan. The tank top didn't cover much seeing as her boobs were practically ready to bulge out. She also wore some tight black skinny jeans and heels that echoed on the wooden flooring. She looked young maybe 23/22 years old. She was pretty, I will say so her ice blue eyes, cute small nose and plump lips that smirked the minute she saw Alex.
