The minute his lips touched mine, a warm tingling feeling erupted inside of me. I was unfamiliar with this feeling. It took him a second before he moved his mouth against mine, and when he did the feeling intensified. His hands moved to my lower back sliding down until they stayed on my hips. Warmth followed wherever his hands touched me, for a moment I forgot I was kissing him to disguise the fact that we were copying Jakes phone contents. That was before I heard a voice behind me,

"Oh there you two are." The familiar voice of Cole said. Alex and I pulled away from each other, it was evident on his face that he was just as confused about what just happened as much as I was. Why did I feel warm around him? Why were my lips tingling? I've kissed a lot men before, hell I've kissed a few women in my lifetime but never have I felt like that before. Alex looked down to me, his eyebrows furrowed for a second before he slowly released my hips from his hold, I hate to say it but the second his hands were off me I felt a sense of coldness where they once were. Why?

I cleared my throat, turning around to face the smirking Cole leaning my the door frame. "Sorry we were just..." I trailed off, I was speechless, I couldn't think of what to say. My mind was on that four second kiss.

"I know what you were doing." His gaze moved to Alex behind me. "Come on before Charlotte kills us all for being late." He pushed himself off the frame and walked out, leaving us alone.

Alex sighed behind me, "er..." he let out then shut up. "That was quick thinking." He said again. I turned to face him, taking a step back to bring more space between us.

"Yeah...I...er....the phone." I stumbled running my hand through my hair. I reached down to the floor picking it up. The download had been complete, he unplugged the cable and stashed the usb cable into his trouser pocket. I handed him the phone, big mistake. Our hands touched slightly and that warm feeling came back, I quickly retracted my hand from him placing it on my hip. "We should get back out there before they come back."

"I need to put the phone back, I'll...er see you in there." He replied. I nodded my head walking out the study first. I didn't look back at him, instead I walked into the corridor. Was I meant to feel that away during that kiss? Was I meant to be confused right now? I brought my hand to my lips gently running my fingers over them, a slight tingling feeling lingered on them.

"Julia!" I heard from the dinning room ahead. I looked up to see Charlotte waving me into the room. I pushed my thoughts to the side and smiled at her walking into the room. Everyone was taking their seats and chatting away, my seat was unfortunately next to Colton who seemed more than happy to have me next to him. Colton on my left and Alex on my right. Thank you Charlotte.

Alex wondered into the room moments later, the same smouldering expression on his face. It was obvious that some of the women in this room lusted over him, their eyes trailed him as he made his way to the seat next to me. Ruby was sat opposite me with John on her left, he was sipping on a beer while she cradled the hand with the ring to her chest. "Phones back in place." He whispered pushing his chair in. Just then Jake walked in followed by Vince.

The following morning I woke up to an empty house. Alex had work in the morning so he left early. I didn't sleep much last night, my overthinking mind took over leaving me to toss and turn. What was on my mind? Oh nothing just the memory of his warm I felt when I kissed Alex, how a rush of energy surged through me. A feeling I had never felt Before and it was just a small kiss, a very short one in fact. Yet here I was fixated on it. Was it weird that I liked the feeling?

I didn't go for my jog that morning, I worked out in the gym instead. I spent the morning working on my cardio then around mid day I took a break making myself a small salad. It wasn't anything fancy just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and little pieces of chicken. I washed it down with a fruit smoothie. I was sat down on by the island when I heard the front door open. I turned my head looking through the corridor to see Alex walking in. His the sleeves of his black shirt rolled up to his elbows, the top button undone and tie loosened. His hair was neatly styled however.
